DatMoney Weekly Updates: Where Have You Been Man?!

I haven’t really had a “weekly” update for about two months now so it seems as though it is long overdo. I have a few things that I wanted to go over on these DatMoney weekly updates and definitely wanted to address the lack of posts this month.

I usually post my weekly updates on a Friday or the weekend but I didn’t want to wait to give you guys updates. So, let’s get started with the boring stuff, shall we?

Where Have I Been? - In the month of April, I have only posted three times (if you include this post) which is pretty bad. That’s basically like one post per week and that shows that I’m slacking… well, my on the lines that I’ve been busy.

Lately, I’ve been setting priorities and the big thing was to finish my taxes (which I did the day before the deadline) and I decided that I would do it by myself this year online. I’ll write a post on the details later because it was definitely a good learning experience… and a headache at the same time.

On top of that, I’ve just been busy and I’m trying to catch up on everything. It’s tough especially since I have a full-time job on top of everything I do online but please bear with me. I mean, I have post topics and drafts but I just haven’t had a chance to finish them.

Server Crashed/Sites Were Temporarily Unavailable – Most of you guys probably didn’t even notice it but there were two, maybe three times in which my server crashed for about like 10-15 minutes in the last week or two and it was due to high CPU load. Since one of my sites got into Google News I’ve been getting good traffic on top of my traffic from all my other sites. This has been affecting my CPU load on my dedicated server and I think I fixed it.

I’m new to all this technical stuff with hosting servers and stuff but high graphics + TONS of traffic = bad for CPU load. I actually found out that one of my sites was taking up a majority of my CPU usage and I’m not even doing much to that site now. I recently did quite a few things such as installing a cache plugin, configured some MySQL stuff as well as cut down on high graphics on my sites.

Since my last crash, I have gotten even MORE traffic and everything seems to be just fine now.

Catching Up On E-mails – If you recently sent me an e-mail and haven’t gotten a response, it’s either because I’ve been busy and I just haven’t gotten a chance to reply or I just completely overlooked your e-mail from the many I get daily.

I check my e-mails everyday on my cell phone but sometimes I don’t get a chance to reply and occasionally I just forget. I’ll try to get caught up with replies by this week. If you sent an e-mail and don’t get a response by the end of this week, feel free to send a follow-up. Thanks!

Finally Upgraded Sites to WP 2.9.2. – I’ve been procrastinating a little bit but I think I upgraded most of my sites to the newest Wordpress. The strange thing is one of my sites is doing something funky when I post and it’s annoying the hell out of me and I don’t know how to fix it.

If anyone wants to help, the problem is:

I usually type and post under the “HTML” field but when I change to the “Visual” tab and back to the “HTML” tab, everything gets jumbled together with the coding in one big paragraph. Before it never did this and it doesn’t do it on any other site of mine so I don’t know what’s wrong. If you guys know how to fix it, please let me know. And if you need more details, just ask and I’ll tell you everything.

eBook and Password Protected Posts Update – Since I’m sending everything out manually and I’m behind in my work, you guys haven’t received it since March 31st. For some odd reason, some people who were on the mailing list contacted me and told me they never received it, which is weird. I’ll try to send out the next batch by the end of this week.

If you subscribed before April 1st and still haven’t received anything, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll get it to you ASAP.

Getting Rid Of Some Ads – I recently took down two ads on my blog because I decided that this blog isn’t really going to be a big money maker anyways so why try to annoy the hell out of you guys with them. Yes, this blog has the potential of making good money but it’s not really intended for that. I’m here to share my experience of being an internet entrepreneur and hopefully help you guys out.

If I can make some money to help pay for hosting costs (dedicated servers are expensive!) or for experience (selling an eBook and learning the entire process) then that would be great.

I mean, I don’t write many paid posts and compared to other blogs in the same niche, I think I have a lot less ads. Also, ask anyone who has chatted with me online, you know I’m always around to help out when I can.. and I don’t charge a dime for any of it.

Upcoming Posts – I have a few posts coming up, I just need to finish them. Some of the posts will include updates on my Google News site, how I made $500 in one day from that site, sharing my experience on doing taxes myself especially with all this internet entrepreneur stuff giving me headaches, as well as trying to benefit your hosting server from crashing and avoid getting penalized by your shared hosting company.

DatMoney Weekly Updates – Free Hosting, Free Advertising, Changes and More

I’ve been trying to write out this particular weekly updates for a while now. Well, particularly since I upgraded to a dedicated server two weeks ago. But I’ll cover a handful of things including ones you guys would be interested in such as the free advertising, contest update, free web hosting and more.

Let’s get right into it, shall we?

Some Comments/Posts May Have Been Deleted - I do apologize to some of you guys but some comments may have been deleted on my transition to my dedicated server. Matter of fact, if some of you guys posted on some of my other blogs, a couple of posts may have been deleted as well. I hope you guys saved a copy! Sorry about that!

Looking For a (Committed) Team Once Again - I’m actually looking for yet another team to work with on one site. But I’m actually looking for committed individuals who are willing to work a few hours a week with the potential of making money in a couple of months. I mean, a LOT of money and traffic. I actually have a plan but unfortunately, it does require a team of committed bloggers.

I’ve worked with a bunch of you guys before and some of the teams just didn’t work out for whatever reason. If you are not committed enough or you’re the type to quit if you don’t see enough revenue flowing in instantly, then this project is probably not for you. If you like to blog about entertainment, sports, anime, shows, movies and stuff like that, drop me a line!

What Gadgets/Prizes Would You Be Interested In Winning? - This is just a quick update on the contest that I’m going to be holding once again and I figured I would just ask you guys on your thoughts of what prizes would you be interested in winning? Please keep in mind that it shouldn’t be something you wouldn’t buy for someone else. For instance, I’m sure you guys wouldn’t buy someone else a brand new car or computer. I’m looking for gifts more on the line of iPods, Flip Minos, etc.

I just want to get some ideas on prizes and we’ll take it from there.

Cell Phone Update, Free Advertising Announced - Well, I still haven’t had a chance to pick a new cell phone because of my indecisiveness and, well, I’m picky. Also, the fact that I had to upgrade to a dedicated server and pay the first few months upfront didn’t help the cause. But I did promise one 125×125 ad spot for a month for free to the person that helped me choose. Since I didn’t pick yet I decided to put everyone that commented (individuals and not total comments) into random.org and select a winner.

My vote is with Verizon. Mileage may vary. In the Bay Area of California, Verizon has the absolute best coverage. I’ve used Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile. All are inferior — where I live.

That said, Wirefly is offering a free HTC Droid right now (just got the email). I don’t know if this is a public offer, so if you need the info, let me know.

Free Web Hosting - I received a bunch of e-mails and I have yet to respond to any so if you didn’t hear from me, no need to worry, nobody did. I was actually away for the long weekend and had limited internet access so I’m actually just trying to get caught up right now.

But plus keep in mind, this is just a trial hosting that is free. I won’t be hosting forever as I’m just trying to get you guys familiar with the entire system. Of course, once you do switch over to your own hosting, I’ll help with the transition because it’s not very hard to move files from server to server.

I’ll keep you guys posted. Well, the ones who are actually interested.

What Happened to All The Comments? – I’m just curious on what’s going on with the lack of comments? Maybe it’s my fault, huh? But the traffic has been better but less comments… that’s just weird.

DatMoney Weekly Updates – Where Did We Leave Off?

I think my “weekly” updates are becoming more and more like “monthly” updates but that’s fine because I don’t always have too many updates for you guys. But I will be addressing a few issues that include password protected posts, joint ventures, spammers and more.

Ad Spots Back to Original 125×125 Buttons - If you visited my blog the past month then you would have seen a big 336×280 ads instead of the 125×125 buttons on the sidebar. Well, I did that to accommodate an advertiser and I’m not sure if they had great results or not but if you would like to help me keep this blog going, please, at the very least, click on my banners, read my paid reviews and check out their sites. I’m sure you guys will find great sites, products and services and if these advertisers keep purchasing ad spots that helps me raise money to get great prizes to give away on future contests.

Please keep that in mind. I mean, it only takes a second to check out their site and if you’re not interested once you get there then that’s fine, you can leave. But please do me that favor of giving them a shot.

Passwords to Protected Posts Sent Out - Actually, I sent out a mass e-mail about a week and a half ago so if you subscribed before January 12th then you should have received the passwords. If you did not receive it and you were subscribed prior to January 12th then check your spam filters before contacting me.

And please, if you subscribed after and you’re sending me e-mails asking for the passwords then I will assume you did not even bother reading that entire post. More than likely, you probably didn’t receive a response from me either.

Inconsistency in Posting - I know some of you guys are curious on the inconsistency of my posting updates and there are a few reasons behind it. The main reason is the fact that I have to prioritize and DatMoney actually comes behind a few other things on my checklist.

With that said, I’ve been working on other projects that should be really big if I stay according to my plan(s). Of course, plans on nothing without action and that’s what I’ve been trying to do, hence, the lack of time to post.

Lastly, if I don’t have much to say with helpful and informative posts every so often then I don’t want to bombard your inbox or RSS Feeds with random stuff, you know?

Bigger Projects and Joint Ventures - I’m actually still working on a few other projects with a different strategy on how to make $100/day. As you know, I’m not that type to put all my eggs in one basket so I’m always trying to work on different revenue sources incase something happens to another revenue source.

On top of that, I’m actually in the process of teaming up with a couple of people on joint ventures. This time around, these JVs definitely seem as though it’s going to be good and successful in these business relationships and projects. Let me put it this way, I’m very impressed with my future long-term business partners.

Damn Spammers… - I swear I give people too many chances especially when it comes to commenting and being on my top commentators list. Recently, a couple of people have been commenting a lot (all in one day) and 90% of their comments have nothing to do with the post content so I marked them as spam and was forced to blacklist them on my top commentators list.

If you were blacklisted and you feel as though it was done wrongfully then all you have to do is stop spamming. It’s not that hard, really.

And let’s not even get into my spam on my e-mails…

Cell Phone Update - Thank you everyone who took the time to give me their advice and opinions on what cell phone should I get. I haven’t decided but I’m sure I’ll eventually just dive in and just take a chance on one.

If I end up purchasing the cell phone you suggested then I’ll mention it on a future post if you won the free 125×125 ad spot for one month. Look out for that…

Upcoming Contest on Slight Hold - I decided to put my upcoming contest on hold because I’m considering donating to the support of Haiti. Originally, I was going to purchase a cool prize and have a few gift cards to giveaway but I’m just going to hold off for a little bit because again, there are priorities that come first.

DatMoney Weekly Updates – Happy Holidays!

So, I haven’t done a weekly update for over a month and a half so I figured I would get at least one more before the end of the year. In 2009, it was a pretty good overall year with some bumpy roads and speed bumps but you need those types of things to reflect on and improved in those areas.

Anyways, let’s get to some updates (that I can remember)!

Win an iPod Nano Contest – I’m sure you guys know by now that I’m having a contest for a chance to win an iPod Nano and it’s going pretty good. Of course, there’s less than a week left in the contest and I highly doubt we’ll hit the 200+ contestants mark for a chance at another iPod Nano.

But then again, you never know what will happen!

Advertisement Banner Change – If you guys haven’t noticed by now, I replaced the three 125×125 ads on the sidebar with a 336×280 ad block. The reason why I did this is because a former advertiser contacted me letting me know they only had certain sizes for their banner. Of course, I’m always willing to work with advertisers to try to suit their needs. Especially the ones that have had good results here and continue to come back.

If you guys haven’t had a chance to check out their website or their banner, check their “Warren Buffett reveals their secret to recession” website. It seems pretty interesting!

I don’t know how long I’ll keep the 336×280 ad space available because I personally prefer the 125×125 ones but if there’s a higher demand, then I’ll just continue with that.

Revealing Another One of my Sites – As some of you guys know, I occasionally reveal random sites that I own so you guys can check out. Not every internet entrepreneur does this but I have revealed a few sites so far. And that includes the site I sold with a site flipping team and I even gave a lucky subscriber a small portion just for guessing!

I’ll give you guys a clue, this is the site that I used my new purchased Wordpress theme on. And yes, a commentator did mention wanting me to reveal the site.

Password Protected Posts – I sent a few of you guys that have requested the password that have been a subscriber for more than a few weeks. Of course, I delayed everything else because of the e-mail client issues, plus, it seems some people are pushy and want the password ASAP and if they don’t get it, they unsubscribe instantly.

Obviously, there are some people in it just for that reason. But also, some people don’t have patience. Please bear with me as I will have it sent out sometime next week when I have some more time.

Another Contest?! – If you read down to this part and you considered unsubscribing right after my current contest is over, well, I wouldn’t just yet. I will be having another follow-up contest shortly after and it should be just as simple as my current contest. But of course, I’m going to require those of you guys that are subscribed to comment saying you have done so.

I have a few prizes in mind and this time I might have more than just one prize for people to win. Stay tuned for that one!

Free Blogger Templates – Just like my lack of weekly updates, I have been slacking on posting new free Blogger templates for you guys to enjoy and use. I’ll have a new one this weekend so look out for that one.

Top Commentators Adjustment – Originally, I had 10 spots for the top commentators but now it’s down to 7. The reason why is the fact that I decided that I would do a couple of link exchanges with other blogs in a similar niche with similar stats as me. But don’t worry, it won’t go any lower than five.

Plus, there were a few people that I caught just commenting just to get on the top commentators list and they were basically spamming. I mean, literally copying and pasting crap from other articles they find as a comment. That’s shameless if you ask me!

Happy Holidays! – I just wanted to say happy holidays to everyone that has been a part of DatMoney this year. I hope you guys all have a great holiday, get great presents, eat some good food and stay warm!

DatMoney Weekly Updates – Outgoing Mail Issues and More

I was trying to get this post out last week the week before but I’ve been busy with a few things. Plus, I usually like to put my weekly updates closer toward the end of the week simply because people come to my blog a little less on the weekends so I figured you guys don’t care too much for the updates to begin with.

Too bad I couldn’t wait for the weekend…

But there are a lot of things I need to highlight in this weekly update but the very first one is the fact that I’m having troubles with my outgoing mail on my server all of a sudden. So, why does it affect you guys? Well, it postpones the delivery of the passwords to the protected posts and then a domino affect takes place.

Outgoing Mail Server Problems – Honestly, I don’t know what happened and I didn’t do anything different but all of a sudden when I tried to reply back to someone last week from my mail client, I kept getting an error message that I couldn’t connect to my outgoing mail server.

If you did receive an e-mail from me, it was because I had to jump on my web mail server.

Passwords to Protected Posts on Hold - Like I mentioned above, I’m having outgoing mail server issues so sending out a mass e-mail from my mail client simply is not going to work. Of course, I could e-mail everyone individually from my web mail server but that would take forever.

But I apologize for keeping some of you guys waiting for a while. Instead, if you guys have not received the password and you’ve been subscribed for more than two weeks then leave a comment below with contact information and I’ll try to get it to you sooner. I know a lot of you guys are in a big rush to read it and I don’t blame you. If you have instant messenger, I think that’d be easier. But again, please comment on this post if you have not received the passwords and you’ve been subscribed for two weeks or longer.

This will be the only time I would suggest commenting on not receiving the password. I don’t need people commenting on every post every other day or e-mailing me letting me know they haven’t received it… like some people.

And for those of you that have just subscribed and keep asking for the password, obviously you didn’t read “Reasons Why I Don’t Send Out Password Immediately” which I linked at the bottom of the $100/Day subscribe post.

Added Google Adsense Ads to RSS Feeds – I just added Adsense ads to my RSS Feeds like two weeks ago just to see how they would look. I don’t expect to make a lot of money off of them but you never know if someone will see something that might interest them besides my posts.

Personally, I think it’s pretty cool because you don’t have to choose the size format of the ads, they automatically do it for you. Which I’ve noticed it varies between 468×60 to 336×280 or something on those lines.

Contest Hopefully Coming Sooner Than Later - I’ve been pretty busy and I’m sure you guys know that it takes a lot of work trying to manage a contest especially if a lot of contestants join. As of right now, I don’t think it’s the best time for me to hold a contest but I think towards the end of this month I’ll have a lot more time so expect it for sometime around then.

1,000 RSS Feed Subscribers – I wrote this on my last post on how I finally hit 1,000 RSS Feed Subscribers and if you missed that post, check it out. But I would just simply like to thank everyone that has helped make it happen. I think I completely forgot to thank all of you guys on that post and you guys are the ones that made it happen.

So, thank you everyone!

DatMoney Weekly Updates – More, More, More!

As we continue with our DatMoney weekly updates and our plan to conquer the world take our online business to the next level, we want more changes and more projects to take on.

In this weekly update, there are some that I forgot to include in the last one so I’ll just mention it here. There’s nothing really drastic, just a few small things.

Read More… Please? - I have been adding the “read more” on most of my posts that are somewhat longer. I did this for a few reasons: a) so my homepage doesn’t require you to scroll down like 5 mins, b) to get my bounce rate lower, c) to get more impressions on my ads, d) so my Google Adsense block on individual posts are seen.

A Famous Internet Entrepreneur… – This whole time I changed my tagline to “A Famous Entrepreneur in the Making”, I realized that I only meant for the internet. So, if you noticed, it’s now “A Famous Internet Entrepreneur in the Making”.

Slight Change in RSS E-mail Subscription Delivery - The only thing I really change is the subject line. It used to just say the blog title but now it’ll say the post title. I just did this to test out if it’ll help increase the views in my RSS Feed numbers.

Finally Upgraded to Wordpress 2.8.4 - Honestly, I should have done this before but I just postponed it for some reason. But if you haven’t already done so, I would suggest you upgrade ASAP. The reason is the fact that there’s a worm out there that’s hacking into blogs that haven’t upgraded yet or something on those lines. So, to protect yourself, I would just send a couple of minutes quickly upgrading.

Testing my Luck on Creating Wordpress Themes - Yes, you read right. I am going to try to create some custom Wordpress themes all by myself. I already have some of the design skills, I already know html and a little css so I figure I would take it to the next level and take on this project. Plus, if I can get the hang of it, I might just redesign my own theme!

First eBook Still in the Works - Honestly, I wrote like the first two-three pages but since its an eBook, and my very first one, I wanted to take my time with it and have it perfect. I feel when I write posts I always leave something out. And since this is an eBook, I’m trying to be as detailed as I possibly can.

Contest Coming Soon, I Can Feel It! - Like I said, when I hit 1,000+ subscribers officially, I will have a contest soon after. I have been pretty close to it (closest at 992) but no cigar quite yet. I already have the theme of the contest, I’m still looking for sponsors and I’m sure you guys will like it as well!

Link Exchange Anyone? - I’m just looking for a couple of people to do link exchanges with. But since I’m only looking for just a couple of people, I was looking for people that have similar stats as mine. Something around 1,000 subscribers, has a Google Pagerank, the blog has been around for at least a year, they update their blog at least a few times a week and in a similar niche. If that’s you, comment below or e-mail me.

DatMoney Weekly Updates – It’s Time for Changes

These weekly updates are starting to become monthly ones but at least I’m still updating you guys! But ever since my blog auction ended and no sale met my reserve price, I was going to commit a little more time and this site as well as my other ones.

So, let’s get to some of the changes.

OIO Publisher Plugin Purchased – As you guys should all know from my last post OIO Publisher Coupon Code – Save Up to $20!, I purchase the OIO Publisher plugin and it has worked wonders for me. This is just one small step for Jay and one giant leap for DatMoney. Okay, that was corny. But this purchase is just a small step towards taking DatMoney to the next level. Trust me, all the small steps will add up to one huge step.

Advertisement Page Changed – Don’t worry, I didn’t raise any prices, I just made a few changes to the options, text and I added some purchase links so you can buy ad spots directly without needing to contact me and waiting. You can even upload images yourself, as an advertiser. Also, text links on the sidebar has a direct purchase link there as well.

Free Blogger Templates - To support our free blogger templates section, I decided to add a small banner on the sidebar. I actually did this a while ago but if you never noticed it, its directly under the “Popular and Helpful Posts” on the sidebar. I also added a tracking option on it just to see how many times it gets clicked on as a banner on that spot.

Passwords to Protected Posts Sent! - If you subscribed prior to September 8th then you received an e-mail from me with the passwords. Some of you guys unsubscribed shortly after, some e-mails bounced back and one person even decided to reply to the e-mail telling me “don’t send it again.” I didn’t understand that one. Anyways, I’m actually considering taking some good advice and signing up for Awebar to handle all my subscriptions and password e-mailing stuff for me.

Design Change - I actually like this template and I got used to it but too many people have this same exact one. I’ve been leisurely looking for a new design, premium theme, but haven’t found one I can really bite down on. Anyone have any recommendations? Or possibly a good theme designer for a reasonable price? Let me know and I like your pick, I’ll sign up through your referral link or convince the designer to give you a finders fee or something.

One of my Sites Went Down! - There was a reason why there was a lack of posts here this week. One of my sites went down and I have no idea why. Of course, since the site is a pretty profitable one for me, I had to turn my attention to it because the longer it stays down, the more I potentially lose in revenue. Unfortunately, it was down for about a day and a half (from what I know) so that kind of hurt. But I finally managed to fix the issue and everything seems fine once again.

Anyways, that’s it for now. I’m sure there are a lot of updates and changes but I’ll save that for the next one.

DatMoney Weekly Updates – Contacting People and Finding New Ways of Making Money

So, it’s been a while since my last weekly update and it’s been a few days since my last post but I’ve been busy. A large portion of my time has been dedicated to those people that have contacted me interested in blogging with me. In addition, I’ve been finding new ways of making money and trying to take advantage of what the internet offers me.

People Who Contacted Me for the $100/Day Jobs – I responded to most of you guys that actually left your instant messenger screen names in your e-mails. For those that didn’t hear from me yet, it’s probably because you never left an instant messenger name within your e-mail or you just haven’t been on at the same time as me, yet.

There were a couple of you guys that went out of the way to create an instant messenger screen name just to chat with me. I find that when you go out of your way to do things like this, you’re showing initiative and you’re motivated to work. I, personally, want to work with someone like that. So, I’m spending extra time with those folks.

Making Money with Twitter - The best part of working with other people is the fact that I’m building relationships and future business ones as well. But I was having a conversation with a new online entrepreneur friend of mine that was telling me how he was making money with Twitter. Of course I was interested and started testing a few things out, researching myself, etc and found there are tons of ways to take advantage of what Twitter has to offer.

I’m lazy, as most of you guys probably already know, so if I can get things automated then that’s even better. Well, what if I told you that I might have a way of possibly making $20/day extra from Twitter for not doing too much? More to come on this in the future, I just have to figure a few things out to make sure it’s not against any TOS. lol

Making Money with Youtube – Of course, since I figured we want to take advantage of the internet to make money, why not try out the third most visited website in the world – Youtube. I figured if I’m trying to take advantage of Twitter, I might as well try Youtube.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while but like many of you guys, I just had the knowledge but never took action. No more! Time to take more action!

Passwords for Protected Posts – I think it’s been a few weeks since I sent out that e-mail so if you just subscribed, I’ll probably be sending that out later this week, if not early next week. And for those of you guys that were subscribed before mid July that never received the passwords, leave a comment and I’ll check out what happened.

New Ad Placement on DatMoney Works – If you guys haven’t noticed yet, I made a few slight adjustments in my ads being displayed here. And so far, so good. The most successful one that I’m seeing is the Adsense block I put right underneath the post title. It seems to be getting some good clicks and making some good money. I probably won’t be selling that as a private ad only because the click throughs seem to be better suited for Adsense.

Alright, those are just a few updates so you guys know what I’ve been up to. And don’t worry, I’m not neglecting this blog, I’m just preparing you guys for some good posts soon!

DatMoney Weekly Updates: You Don’t Need to Request the $100/Day Password via E-mail

So, it’s been over a month since my last DatMoney Weekly Updates so I figured I would update you guys on a few things and also mention that you guys don’t have to e-mail me right when you subscribe via e-mail to obtain the password to the $100/Day Adsense post. But keep reading and I’ll update you with more than just that.

Advertisement Changes – I don’t know how many people have noticed but I decided to make just a couple of adjustments to the ads being displayed here. The main changes were getting rid of the six 125×125 spots on the right hand side and only making it three. I did that for a couple of reasons:

1. To get more exposure to the current advertisers.
2. To not have so many ads cluttered in one section of my blog
3. Also, I have less advertisers contacting me currently for the 125×125 spots so I figured I’d reduce the number of ads being shown. And if more people contact me, I’ll add more 125×125 spots and get rid of the 160×60 banners below.

In addition, the other main change was the fact that I put a 350×250 Google Adsense Ad on individual posts right below the title. I’m actually doing this as an experiment for the search engine traffic I’m getting because on my other blog, it seems to work out pretty good for click-throughs.

I’m not sure how long I’ll leave it there but if it works out in my favor, I may just consider leaving it there.

Attention New E-mail Subscribers Looking for the $100/Day Password! - Although I love getting e-mails from you guys, it’s not necessary to e-mail me individually letting me know that you have subscribed and looking for the password. I usually only send out the password once a month as a batch and I usually give updates on my weekly updates posts so you guys know about it.

Of course, I understand a lot of you guys e-mailing me because you are fairly new and don’t know this information. But please be patient, you should get it by the end of this month if you have subscribed via e-mail, verified, etc.

Banner Designs E-mail - If you e-mailed my banner designs e-mail address within the past month or so, more than likely you never got a response. Well, I haven’t checked that e-mail in quite sometime so if you guys are still waiting to hear back, I’ll check it this weekend. If it’s a rush, please use my contact form to get in touch with me. Or add me on any of my instant messengers, I’m usually on at some point in the day.

Top Commentators Change - The only change I made was basically I took off the number of comments being displayed next to each commentator. I did this simply to avoid top commentators hijacking so if someone had 3 total comments and made it on the list, I didn’t want someone else to see that and try to comment 4 times just to knock that person out.

Of course, there’s always ways around this but at least it slows these one-time commentators down a little bit.

Contest Coming Soon - Well, hopefully it comes sooner than later. I mentioned earlier that I would hold a contest once I hit 1,000+ subscribers so it’ll depend on how fast I make it to that. At this rate, I may be close to it within a couple weeks but who really knows.

Does Anyone Have the Pagerank Tool? - There’s this pagerank tool I had (which I don’t anymore) that basically you typed in the URL and it would give you a list of all the pages/posts on the site with pagerank of each individual page. Does anyone have that tool or know where I can get it? If you do, I’ll hook you up with one month advertising here. Well, I’ll hook you up if you can hook me up. But it has to be this specific tool or something better than what I’m describing.

Guest Posting - Last time I mentioned I’d be interested in guest posts on here and a couple of people contacted me expressing interest. Unfortunately, no one has officially submitted one. If you are interested, please send me a copy of what you had in mind and I’ll consider posting it.

DatMoney Weekly Updates: Outsourcing and Price Changes

It’s been quite a while since my last DatMoney updates, and the main reason is the fact that I haven’t been around as much to keep up. But at least I get a few posts in each week. Anyways, because I have been busy, I decided I’m going to start outsourcing a few things. That’s just one of the many updates… let’s get straight into it.

Outsourcing Some Work – I was too cheap and hardheaded to outsource a lot of work. I think this is one of the main reasons why it was hard for me to multitask with all the projects that I’m working on. I’ve actually hired someone to help me out with the small tasks of building links, blog commenting, writing articles, etc. Don’t worry, these tasks are mainly for my other sites so that way I can focus a little more here.

But if you know of people who can help for cheap (or even for free), please let me know. I can definitely use the help, and who knows, you’ll probably learn a thing or two from me in the process.

Price Changes on Ad Space and Paid Reviews - I haven’t changed my prices for over a year now which is a good and bad thing. And good thing because advertisers get a pretty good price for what they are getting. But bad because that means I haven’t been increasing my stats like I’d like to.

Since I’m nearly around 900 RSS Feed subscribers (even though Google hasn’t updated my RSS counter) and all my stats are pretty decent, I’ve decided that on June 1st, 2009 that I will increase my prices. Of course, it won’t be anything drastic. I haven’t figured it out yet but more than likely I’m just going to increase prices by $5.00 USD a month or review.

I’m just easing it in and $5.00 isn’t even a big increase. Of course, if I really start promoting and my stats skyrocket, then that’s going to be a different thing.

If you sent me an e-mail regarding a paid review or ad spot already (or before June 1st) then you’ll get the old prices.

Password to the $100/Day Adsense Post Sent – I finally got around to sending out the next batch of e-mails for the password protected post of making $100/day from Adsense. If you subscribed since the last batch, verified and stayed subscribed, you should have the e-mail. I think I got everyone prior to today, so if you happen to missed the cutoff, you’re going to have to wait until the next one.

If you didn’t receive the password but subscribed, more than likely it’s in your spam so check it before you contact me. And if you just feel as though you never received it and you’re currently subscribed, then drop a comment or contact me and I’ll get it to you.

Site Flipping Series Update - Just a quick update, I’m considering just using a domain name and niche that I already have setup that is relatively new so you guys can follow along with that. I think you guys are more interested in the later results in progress rather than the very beginning.

Though, if the site I show you guys makes consistent money that is pretty good, I may actually hold off on selling it. I would prefer recurring revenue, if the money is right, rather than a lump sum up front… especially if there is a lot of potential in the site.

Guest Post Anyone? - Since I haven’t been able to update as much on here, I figured I’d give you guys chances on guest posting if you want to. Of course, you’ll get a backlink to your site (and whatever anchor text you want) as well as your post being sent out to the 800-900 subscribers of DatMoney.

I’m not too picky on the type of post, I just want it to be informative, interesting or related to online entrepreneurship. If you are interested, just shoot me an e-mail with an example of your post and I’ll let you know if it’s cool.

RSS Feed E-mail Delivery Hours Changed - Before I had my RSS Feeds sent out between 11am – 1pm EST but since my work schedule has changed slightly, I figured it’d be easier for me to get posts at a later time.

Currently, I’ve set it to be delivered between 3pm – 5pm EST but maybe possibly change that to a little later. I’m sure no one is going to care anyways, but I wanted to inform you guys if you were ever expecting to read my post right when you got it in your inbox.
