Weekly Roundup Links 8 – The Best Posts I’ve Read Recently

Sunday, January 25th, 2009 | Weekly Roundup Links with 8 Comments

Muhammad Ali The Greatest Blog PostsI just checked and I haven’t been giving out as much link love as I should be. No real excuses except for the fact that I’ve been extremely busy so I haven’t been able to actually sit down and read as many articles as I’d like to. I mean, the last weekly roundup was posted back in November!

I decided that this week I will be posting some of the best articles I’ve read recently whether it’s informative, helpful or just plain interesting. I mean, there is a reason why it stands out to me so I’d like to show some love to thank them for the great reads.

How to Make Money with Automated Niche Blogs – Jason continues to impress with his partnership site and these type of posts definitely attracts a lot of attention. I mean, ProBlogger even commented on the post… unfortunately, this tactic is a bit unethical and could possibly get you in trouble but if you’re willing to take the risk, this is definitely a great read.

The Benefits of Risk and Reward – Tricking the YoungestBlogger System for Traffic – Jim actually made me laugh out loud on this post but it was definitely interesting reading yet another unethical tactic. :D Basically he took advantage of an opportunity and he benefited from it.

Lesson learned: Take advantage of the opportunity but more importantly, take action!

Article Marketing for Money – Ryan has been posting in Jason’s absence and he’s been doing a pretty damn good job. If you don’t have money to spend on affiliate marketing then article marketing is another good way of doing it. This article is pretty straightforward but definitely worth a read if you’re trying to get into some bum marketing.

What are the Best Keywords to Target for Google Adsense – If you’re looking for the most popular keywords for a niche to make money from Google Adsense, you might want to read this article. Though, the keywords listed is very competitive but if you know your SEO, you should have no problem with this.

Day 11 – Are You Still On Track – The other Jay has a great post on keeping track with things so you don’t lose focus of your goals. Of course, he probably wrote this specifically for me because I can’t seem to focus completely, I’m lazy and I procrastinate. But if you need some advice on staying focused, this article is for you!

Cross Promote Your Blog Posts – Wesley writes a great post that tends to get overlooked but if you have multiple blogs, why not use that to your advantage? If you need some examples, feel free to check out his article.

I don’t want to overwhelm you guys with tons of great articles so here are just a few that was definitely worth reading before, now or later.

If you feel there’s a great article that is worth mentioning, feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment and I’ll check it out and possibly list it next time.

Quick note: I’m sorry for the delay with the site flipping team, I know some are eagerly waiting but I’ve had priorities within the past few weeks so I had to take that into consideration. But I think around or after February 8th I’ll have more time to dedicate into it. I’ve sent some of you guys e-mails already.

If you still want to join, feel free to send me an e-mail. I want to work with everyone that is willing to work with me.

Weekly Roundup 7 – Interesting Articles in the Blogosphere

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 | Weekly Roundup Links with 15 Comments

I know I haven’t been doing these weekly link love posts for a while. Matter of fact, I haven’t done it since the end of September. But here’s another round and this time I’m posting it on Tuesday instead of the weekend.

The main reason why I’m posting is simply the fact that a couple of people e-mailed me and requested a quick mention of something going on their blog. So, ask and you shall receive!

1. First, Gyutae of Winningtheweb.com started his version of the top Internet Marketing blogs which is a little more in depth for an overall blog as they have more metrics to rank each site.

Rather than just Google Pagerank, Alexa and Technorati ratings, they also base it on RSS Feed count, StumbleUpon Reviews, Del.icio.us votes, Compete ranking, as well as Yahoo Inbound links.

Of course, with every metric system, there are flaws and things people will not agree with. I’ll be e-mailing Gyutae back when I have a moment with my feedback.

2. Trent of SPMM is running his first contest (I believe) on his blog. His contest is for adults or anyone that makes (or wants to make) money with adult sites. There’s a few ways you can enter, either by signing up through his referral link for adult affiliate networks and make the most money, blog about the contest, subscribe or even just comment on his blog post.

He has some great prizes including your very own paysite for free!

Just a quick suggestion, though, the prizes should be highlighted under its own headline. That way people will know exactly what they have a shot at winning, which usually determines if they want to enter the contest to begin with.

Hurry because the contest ends on December 31st .

3. Suzanne of Suzannefranco.com intrigued me to post about one of her strategies she used for the Blogging Idol competition. She basically contacted some internet guru’s for their support . She even took it a bit further and made an entire video asking for support.

Of course, John Chow responded by giving his support, posting her Youtube video as well as getting her quite a few subscribers.

Nice strategy Suzanne!

4. Jim of Thenetfool.com had me dying with his TylerCruz Spoof Post simply making fun of Tyler Cruz’s fifty million affiliate marketing challenge contests. I’m not going to lie, it’s definitely a good way of easing things up on a MMO blog but also to get the attention of some big names.

Plus, it’s definitely a good way to get some traffic as well! I may consider writing a spoof post on Jim!

5. Jay of Suitej.com let’s us know that the Revolution WP themes are now FREE ! This is actually old news because it happened a few weeks ago but then again, I haven’t posted a link love post for quite sometime now.

Plus, I’m sure there are still a lot of people who don’t know they are free. Make sure you check out the Revolution themes site and download them now before you have to pay for them again.

There were more posts that caught my attention and definitely interesting enough to post but I honestly can’t remember all of them. If you have (or know of) any posts that you’d like to mention on here, just send me an e-mail. If I think it’s worthy or interesting enough, then I’ll post it.

But don’t worry, I think every request has been approved!

Paul writes a hilarious post on “Why bloggers suck” and he makes fun of a bunch of A-listers including himself.

AnotherMMOblog asks the question “Would you exclude people from your next contest who unsubscribed?” and honestly, I’ve been asking myself that same damn question!

Anyways, this post is going to be short but I figured I’d give some link love to you guys. Honestly, there were other articles I wanted to include here but I freakin’ forgot which blog they were and now I can’t find them!

Weekly Roundup 4 – Interesting Articles Around the Blogosphere

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008 | Weekly Roundup Links with 9 Comments

Sorry that I missed last week’s Weekly Roundup links but my hosting server was having problems on various mornings so I actually may consider switching plans. But anyways, here are some interesting articles I have found throughout the Blogosphere. (Let me know if you have an interesting article you’d like to add).

How to make instant niche Money just became a lot easier, well, it was already easy for Jason. He goes into details on looking for a popular keyword/term, how to site up the niche site and get it ranked high in search engines. Hey, he’s making a decent amount already so he’s actually sharing secrets.

Apparently, UberCamp is now FREE to get into. If you’re interested in affiliate marketing, you might want to check this out. You used to have to pay for a forum membership but not anymore. Though, you still need to be accepted into the program. I got three invites available :P

Looking to know how to promote and run a contest? Looks like the new John Cow goes in depth with it.

Have you ever wondered How to kill your chances at success? Well, Katy tells you! And I swear she was talking about me when she mentioned procrastination and laziness!

Hey, we all need to make our content work harder, at least that’s what Sharon Hall says on a guest post on piggybankpie.com. There’s also an interesting part on recycling old posts too!

Does the way you look affect your blog? Of course it does in certain ways, and Enkay thinks so too. Almost reminds me of my article I wrote a while back titled “No Avatar, No Visitors?”

Are backlinks over-rated? Well, some people think so including Garry Conn.

Alan asks an interesting question, “Would you buy from your own website?” And honestly, you know damn well you guys wouldn’t! LOL!

Shameless promotion: If you haven’t already done so, feel free to enter my Market Leverage contest for a chance to win a Nintendo Wii!

Again, if you guys have articles that are interesting, let me know and I’ll consider posting them on here!
