I know what most of you guys are thinking, “man, you said your eBooks was going to come out last year!” And although I don’t want to say I was lying, I simply was caught up doing so much and simply neglected it for quite sometime. But I put my foot down because enough is enough.
I recently read Jason’s (a.k.a. The University Kid) WSO ( Warrior Special Offer) report and it definitely gave me motivation to get cracking on these eBooks and guides. Not because of the “how to make your first $1,000 from WSO” but just because I was supposed to get some of my eBooks out last summer.
For the record, I stole that WSO… but shhh… don’t tell him! And that’s the reason why I didn’t link to it for you guys to download. Top secret stuff!
I actually had a quick posting guide that I wrote to help people write posts in Wordpress directed for SEO purposes. I just wrote it up because I work with others and I figured it would be helpful especially for those aiming to write posts for search engine traffic as well as for brand new bloggers that aren’t fully familiar with Wordpress completely.
Very simple question: Would you steal someone’s idea? Of course, the answer may not be as simple especially if you have morals and all that good stuff but if you think about it, an idea is just an idea unless someone actually puts that idea to good use.
The other day, I was sitting at a cafe having some lunch with a friend just minding my own business and playing with my new cell phone when the people at the table next to use starting talking about their ideas on a niche website.
Now I wasn’t eavesdropping, the table was literally right next to me. And it’s a pretty small cafe to begin with. But their conversation went something like this:
I know some of my family and close friends are reading this and I’m probably not talking about you guys especially if I never worked with you before or we have an ongoing working relationship. But I have worked with some of you guys and honestly, it just doesn’t seem to work out.
Now a lot of these family and friends that I work with aren’t too keen of how making money online even works. Matter of fact, these are the same people who are just completely shocked that you can make money blogging and try to jump on the opportunity with it comes. Though, for some reason all they hear is “make money” but it seems as though no work gets done.
All Money No Work
I was once told that money doesn’t grow on trees because, well, it doesn’t. And even if it did, you still have to put some work into climbing up to pick money off, or raking in all the money that falls. Especially, if you want to make money, it doesn’t magically just happen.
It’s not like winning the lottery. And again, even if you win the lottery, it takes someone to walk over to the store, possibly fill out that little numbers sheet and purchase it. Then make sure you check back to see if your numbers was actually picked.
Maybe it’s just me but lately I’ve been seeing Darren Rowses’ face everywhere I go on the internet. Incase you guys have no idea who Darren Rowse is, he’s literally a “Pro Blogger” and makes a great living from it. His main blog is ProBlogger.net and he has over 141,000 subscribers, currently.
Anyways, I admit I don’t go to his website(s) as often as I would like especially since he has some useful information which is always helpful. And now that I’m pretty much done brown-nosing
, we can finally get to where I’m seeing his face on the internet.
Well, I’m basically seeing his face on almost every site that has Google Ads displayed. Don’t get me wrong, I know he’s pretty popular, especially in the blogosphere, but how often would I want to see him. Of course, no disrespect to Darren but I swear I’m seeing him more times daily than I see my e-mails. And I check my e-mails a lot throughout the day!
Don’t worry, don’t worry, I wouldn’t want to see my face everywhere I go either.
To be fair, he probably has nothing to do with it. Well, maybe just a little bit. But it seems as though Chitika is running a crazy Google Adwords campaign and that’s why we’re seeing his face everywhere. Just think of him as one of the new spokespersons of L’Oreal Makeup, um, Chitika.
Incase you haven’t noticed it because your eyes shuts down just about any ad that’s on a website, it would look something like:
I know that’s probably not the best ad but that’s the latest one that I’ve seen. But I have seen their ads (and Darren’s face) on almost all of the main sites that I visit regularly including Youtube and most of my own sites. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw him lurking at you in the comfort of your own home while checking your e-mails! It almost feels like he’s internet stalking you!
But have you seen him lately? He’s like those Geico commercials with the money that has eyes with the “Somebody’s Watching Me” song playing in the background.
Please note: This post was just a joke and it’s not intended on offending anyone, particularly Chitika or Darren. I simply just wanted to comment on him appearing everywhere.
Outsourcing Pros and Cons – More recently I have been outsourcing some of my work because of the lack of time I have on working on so many projects. There are actually a lot of benefits to outsourcing but unfortunately, there are also some negatives that come with it.
What Is Outsourcing?
I’m sure you guys already know what outsourcing is but incase you don’t, it’s basically hiring a third-party person/service to do work for you that you need to get done.
An example of that would be if a company needed to get a lot of filing and processing of paperwork done, they would probably hire a temp to do that. More than likely, the reasoning behind that could be the company may have more important work at hand to get accomplished so they can’t use that time filing paperwork. Though, that simple task does need to get done at some point.
Outsourcing Pros
There are plenty of pros to outsource work besides the obvious fact that you’re getting necessary work done by paying a third-party service. But here’s a list of advantages I see when I outsource some of my work:
