Best Youtube Video Editing Software? - As I continue on my slow and steady pace of creating Youtube videos to gain subscribers, views and make money (none of which I have done yet), I have finally narrowed down the video camera I’ll be using temporarily as well as the video editing software.

It has taken me quite a while because I had so many ideas and also I didn’t want to shell out a lot of money if I’m not going to fully invest my precious time into, you know?

Which Camera Did I Choose?

Honestly, I didn’t choose a video camera just yet but rather I’ll just continue using my current Flip Mino as a starter. I’m a completely noob when it comes to Youtube, video editing, etc so I figured I’d learn the ropes as I go because I’m a hands on type of person. I didn’t want to just go out and buy an expensive HD video camera if I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do as my main focus for the Youtube channel.

Here were my thoughts and ideas…

Ideas for Youtube Channel

I was putting a lot of thought into this and the end conclusion was the fact that I wanted to do something that’s comedic. A lot of you guys know me as a business type online entrepreneur but if you knew me in person you would think I’m a goofy guy that likes to make people laugh. I’m sure you guys would have no clue that I’m an online entrepreneur either.

I figured I would just stay with something I enjoy and that will not only keep my viewers entertained, but me as well. I’m actually going into this project expecting NOT to make any money because that’s not the point for me. I just want to do something I enjoy and share it with others who have the same taste of comedy.

Here are some of my ideas that I came up with:

Social Experiments With A Twist – I have been doing my own social experiments for years and I find it intriguing. Though, my social experiments aren’t usually stuff that crosses the line. Well, maybe sometimes. But I was thinking about things that I would find funny but weird.

For instance, take your stereotypical looking thug that you would expect to listen to rap or hiphop listen to his headphones walking down the street singing a Prince song or something. You just wouldn’t expect that because of how society is.

Skits and Parodies – I always wanted to do funny skits but coming up with the material is harder than it looks. I’ve always been like an improv person but its different if you’re trying to do skits specifically for Youtube.

Parodies are always funny as well but you have to keep up with the latest trends AND come up with the material easy and quick.

My Life – Hey, believe it or not but a lot of people can get hundreds of thousands or millions or views just on their everyday life. Of course, I would just put the funny moments and add my own twist to it.

So, those are my generic ideas. I don’t think it’s that big of a problem coming up with the material, it’s all the details you have to worry about such as filming the right things, editing… speaking of editing…

The Youtube Video Editing Software I’m Using

Editing videos is the key and if you don’t have someone to do it for you, it might be a problem. I did a little research and ended up choosing Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 as my video editing software I’ll be using. Of course, it’s definitely harder than I expected it would be but I’m sure I’ll learn it in no time.

I think it just reminds me of a Photoshop type program. I mean, you can use regular Paint or whatever default photo editing that comes with your computer but Photoshop is the more advanced stuff. This is definitely going to be a challenge but if you put your mind to it and work hard, the results will show itself in due time.

Anyways, that’s an update of my Youtube project/experiment and I know I haven’t been updating DatMoney very often but big chances may happen soon.

Which HD Video Camera Should I Get For Youtube? – So, as some of you guys know, I’ve been considering starting a Youtube channel for quite sometime now. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do just yet but I want it to be related to comedy (or some weird variation of it). Of course, since I’m looking to make my own videos, I’m going to need a good video camera to do so. Which one would you recommend?

Why Am I Starting a Youtube Channel?

There are quite a few reasons why I want to start a Youtube channel but the main reason is because it’s something I always wanted to do. But here’s some more details on why.

It’s On My Bucket List - Well, maybe not exactly on my “bucket list” but rather something I want to do in life so I can cross off the list of things I have done. My list is so random but it includes anything from the small things in life (like Jet-skiing, riding a motorcycle or playing a poker tournament in Las Vegas) to medium things such as making Youtube videos.

Just making Youtube videos isn’t the only thing, my goal before I cross it off my list is to make at least one video and have it viewed over a million times.

If I get good at it, I’m hoping I get lots of videos viewed millions of times.

Getting My Name Out There And Making People Laugh – I don’t really need to get my name out there and I’m actually not trying to brand myself but ever since I was a kid, I’ve been able to make people laugh and it’s definitely a good feeling. I’m just hoping I can do the same with whatever I end up putting up on Youtube.

Make Money – People you guys judge me and think I’m going to make videos with the intent of only making money online, well, I am… but the money may not only go to me. I was actually considering on donating a share of my profits from whatever I make from Youtube videos to charities. I guess I just need to get to that point of making money before anything.

Um, I Want To… – I created an account years ago but I never really knew what I wanted to do, if anything. Again, I’m not even sure what I’m going to do because I’m my own worst critic. I mean, I used to make music and most of them were never released because I was so picky and just didn’t like it.

What Video Camera Do I Currently Have?

Currently, the only things that I have to videotape are the Flip Mino as well as my cell phone. Both are very convenient, easy to use as well as easy access for uploading it onto the computer but either is that great in quality.

I have been using the Flip Mino to record a lot of things and some videos have came out great. Plus, it comes with its own video editing program. But if I’m going to make a Youtube channel then I’m thinking on upgrading to something a little better. Which leads to my question…

Which HD Video Camera Should I Get For Youtube?

I did some research and found a few different ones that seem pretty good but I just wanted to ask you guys to see if you have any good camcorders or know of anything.

I know I have been busy and you have been seeing less blog posts on here but I have priorities. Making Youtube videos isn’t really one of them but since I record a lot of my daily activities when I go out anyways, I figured I would just try to invest in a new camera eventually.

I’m sure some of you guys are experts at Youtube, definitely more than me (as far as making videos and stuff) so I’d like some feedback.

Any advice, opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

This is a guest post by Tom and I just wanted to apologize to him for taking so long to post this article! Check out his website at the end of this post.

Fortunately or unfortunately, outsourcing continues to be a hot topic among many industries. While it helps some and hurts others, it’s hard to deny the business logic behind this strategy. And by costing them stable jobs and careers, it’s the bane of many blue-collar workers’ existences in certain developed nations. Meanwhile, it is building previously considered third world countries into economic
powerhouses.

As outsourcing begins to level the world’s economic playing field, it would behoove people in many sectors, industries, and economic classes to understand more about this process and its effects on people, companies and nations. The more you know about outsourcing, the more prepared you can be to deal with its effects or harness its power. And what better way than by reading a book? That being said, here are a few titles that might better help you understand outsourcing.

1. The Black Book of Outsourcing: How to Manage the Changes, Challenges, and Opportunities (by Douglas Brown)

Published in 2005, this book has recently been revised and is broken down into three parts. Part one focuses on how to plan for and manage outsourcing, part two deals with finding an outsourcing career, and part three is a guide for outsourcing entrepreneurs.

2. What’s
This India Business?: Offshoring, Outsourcing and the Global Services Revolution(by Paul Davies)

India has been a hotbed for outsourcing activity during the last decade. If you’re interested in learning more about how this country has succeeded in building itself into a massive outsourcing provider as well as how you may be able to take advantage of this revolution, this could be the book for you.

3. The IT
Outsourcing Guide (by Rob Aalders)

Understanding why you want to outsource, as well as how you plan to execute your outsourcing initiatives is often critical in the success of your overall outsourcing plan. The IT Outsourcing Guide can help guide you through topics such as IT outsourcing decisions, criteria, management principles, and a number of other
aspects of your outsourcing needs.

4. The Outsourcing Handbook: How to Implement a Successful Outsourcing Process (by Mark J Power, Kevin C. Desouza, Carlo Bonifazi, and Mark J. Power)

This handbook could be the perfect way for you to familiarize yourself with how to implement your outsourcing. From traps to watch out for, to vendor assessment and managing your outsourcing relationship, this book covers a variety of outsourcing subject matter.

5. The
Manager’s Step-by-Step Guide to Outsourcing (by Linda R. Dominguez)

Sometimes it’s nice to have a step-by-step guide to make your outsourcing efforts a little less complicated. Broken into three parts, “The Fundamentals”, “Benefits and Barriers”, and “Commitment to Succeed”, Linda Dominguez’s step-by-step guide could be a critical resource in your outsourcing education.

6. Strategic Outsourcing: A Structured Approach to Outsourcing Decisions and Initiatives (by Maurice F. Greaver)

It’s hard to deny that a structured approach to outsourcing is appealing. When you are rolling the dice and taking a chance with outsourcing, a little structure can be reassuring. In Maurice Greaver’s book, you’ll find plenty of information to help you plan, analyze, and manage your outsourcing processes.

7. Offshore Outsourcing: Business Models, ROI and Best Practices (by Marcia Robinson and Ravi Kalakota)

If you’re outsourcing, you’ll probably want to know how to structure your change and what your ROI will be. In their book, Marcia Robinson and Ravi Kalakota cover topics like why you should outsource, best practices, and how to create and execute your strategy.

8. Outsourcing for Dummies (by Ed Ashley)

Okay, so you’re no dummy. That’s all right. It doesn’t mean that you still can’t learn something from this book. The “For Dummies” series wouldn’t still be around if they weren’t doing someone some good. From understanding the costs of outsourcing to preparing your team, there is plenty here to help you with your outsourcing needs.

9. The Services Shift: Seizing the Ultimate Offshore Opportunity (by Robert E. Kennedy
and Ajay Sharma)

Most of us are aware of the services shift, but do we truly understand how to seize the opportunity that lies before us? To realize your outsourcing opportunities and make them real, The Services Shift might be the book to set you on your way.

10. The Handbook of Global Outsourcing and Offshoring (by Ilan Oshri, Julia Kotlarsky, and Leslie P. Willcocks)

The Handbook of Global Outsourcing and Offshoring, reviews a number of topics including sourcing models, strategies for growth, and the IT outsourcing lifecycle, among others. The book combines these informational chapters with relevant case studies.

Tom writes and designs for a UK based company offering HP LaserJet 1000 toner, inks and refills.

How To Get Listed In Google News – If you guys have been following this blog for at least the last month or so, then you would have read my post How I Plan On Getting Accepted Into Google News. Well, it is official, one of my sites got accepted! (Not DatMoney)

It was a little bit of a relief but this morning I received an e-mail from “The Google Team” that started off like:

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your note.

Great news! This message is to confirm that we’ve reviewed and added your site to Google News. The inclusion of your articles should be processed within the next few days. Please retain this message and refer to it should you have any issues with your site in Google News.

Of course, the rest of the e-mail went into technical stuff that I need to do to make sure my articles are getting picked up.

So, what did I do to get accepted into Google News? Well, if you didn’t read my previous post that I linked to above, here’s a quick overview on what I did.

Quick Outline On How To Get Into Google News

- Created a professional looking news site
- Created a “Contact” page
- Created a “Privacy Policy” page
- Recruited a team that would post articles
- Submitted to Google News to inclusion

Although, there are more details than that, this is just a quick outline on what I did. Eventually I’ll end up writing an eBook or some sort of case study going into every detail/step-by-step once I’m getting the traffic and revenue from Google News.

It’s funny because I know a few people who have their sites included in Google News and they have told me nothing but good news from it. Recently I had a discussion with a buddy of mine who probably just got his site included into Google News a month or so ago and he said he has been receiving around 50,000 unique visitors on a daily basis ever since.

How I Plan On Quadrupling My Adsense Income

Based on my stats on how to make $100/day from Adsense this should at least quadruple my earnings on that site alone.

Here’s how I estimated… first, I took an estimated 50k unique visitors on a daily basis (based on a friends similar site) and say three percent of those people click on Adsense ads. That would mean 1,500 have clicked on the Adsense on the site.

Now each click can vary, as we all know, but I’ll just take an estimate on the clicks that made me $100/day. The last time I went over that amount was on Sunday (I didn’t check yesterday’s stats) and it was around 400 clicks.

Now if I divide 1500 (estimated clicks per 50k visitors) by 400, I’ll get 3.75. If I multiply 3.75 by 100, I’ll get 375 which could potentially be my daily Adsense revenue. And if you multiply that amount by 30 days in a month, that would equal $11,250!

I know this is all estimates but you can always set your goal you should be hitting. On top of that, I’m not even including any other streams of revenue such as CPM ads, affiliate links or whatever else.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I won’t be making over five figures monthly just off that one site but not only can I hope, I can actually work to hit that goal similar to getting the site included into Google News.

But I’ll keep you guys updated and if it becomes successful, then you’ll probably see a case study/eBook in the near future!

How To Convert Word Document To PDF – I just finished my first eBook/guide so I figured I would share how you convert Word docs to PDF format manually for free. Honestly, it’s quite easy and there’s no additional downloading required.

For the most part, I try to type out everything in Microsoft Word so I can see if there are mistakes that really stand out and easy to catch. Since I just finished my eBook (which will be distributed later this week), I figured I’d share with you guys on how to convert these Word documents to PDF format without going through any other website or downloading some program to do it for you.

Of course, I’m sure there’s easier ways of doing this but this is how I have been doing it.

In your Word document, click on “file” and “print”. Simply change the printer name to “Adobe PDF” or “Adobe Distiller”. Next you want to check the box “Print to file” and then press enter.

It should look like this:

When you press enter, it should prompt you to name your file and then save it.

Next you want to open either “Adobe Distiller” or Adobe Acrobat”. One or the other should be already installed on your PC if you’re using Windows. If not, I believe you can download that for free on the Adobe website.

Once you have the program open, simply click “file” and “open” then look for the file you just saved. It should look like “myfile.prn”. Once you open it, it’ll convert to a PDF file for you and all you have to do is save it.

Now wasn’t that as easy as pie? I’m sure there are easier ways of doing this like a simple click of a button but the way I do it is pretty easy as well.

Hope that helped! And yes, the eBook/guide will be sent out this week!

I know what most of you guys are thinking, “man, you said your eBooks was going to come out last year!” And although I don’t want to say I was lying, I simply was caught up doing so much and simply neglected it for quite sometime. But I put my foot down because enough is enough.

I recently read Jason’s (a.k.a. The University Kid) WSO ( Warrior Special Offer) report and it definitely gave me motivation to get cracking on these eBooks and guides. Not because of the “how to make your first $1,000 from WSO” but just because I was supposed to get some of my eBooks out last summer.

For the record, I stole that WSO… but shhh… don’t tell him! And that’s the reason why I didn’t link to it for you guys to download. Top secret stuff!

I actually had a quick posting guide that I wrote to help people write posts in Wordpress directed for SEO purposes. I just wrote it up because I work with others and I figured it would be helpful especially for those aiming to write posts for search engine traffic as well as for brand new bloggers that aren’t fully familiar with Wordpress completely.

It was nothing spectacular and it was only like five pages long but I wasn’t even planning on turning it into a guide. But since I wanted to get started, I figured I would just convert it into a PDF document just to see how it would look and send it to a few of my team members to look at.

For the most part, it looked somewhat professional and surprisingly it was extremely easy to convert to PDF format. And since I got a few suggestions, feedback and questions, I’m thinking about tweaking it even more and add to it so it’s that much more helpful.

I’m starting out slow with smaller guides and eventually working my way up to eBooks and possible case studies. So, once I finish tweaking these current guides that I’m working on and trying to overcome being my own worst critic, I’ll get those out those out to my e-mail subscribers.

And if you have subscribed recently in anticipation for the password to the protected posts, those will be coming soon as well!
Very simple question: Would you steal someone’s idea? Of course, the answer may not be as simple especially if you have morals and all that good stuff but if you think about it, an idea is just an idea unless someone actually puts that idea to good use.

Very simple question: Would you steal someone’s idea? Of course, the answer may not be as simple especially if you have morals and all that good stuff but if you think about it, an idea is just an idea unless someone actually puts that idea to good use.

The other day, I was sitting at a cafe having some lunch with a friend just minding my own business and playing with my new cell phone when the people at the table next to use starting talking about their ideas on a niche website.

Now I wasn’t eavesdropping, the table was literally right next to me. And it’s a pretty small cafe to begin with. But their conversation went something like this:

Cafe Person A: “Hey, can I tell you about my ideas on this new niche blog I’m doing?”

Cafe Person B: “Sure, I’d like to hear it.”

Cafe Person A: “I’m starting this niche site directed at X which will help people out, it has very low competition and I have everything mapped out already. This site isn’t going to go live for at least the next month while the site is being created. The name of the blog is X. What do you think about the name and domain name for it? It doesn’t sound too forced or anything, does it?”

Cafe Person B: “No, it sounds very good. It fits what you’re trying to do with X completely.”

Cafe Person A: “Now with blogs, you need to have some sort of tagline. My tagline is X. Does it sound too much like I’m forcing it?”

Cafe Person B: “I think it’s pretty straightforward. What are your other tagline ideas?”

Cafe Person A: “I have two other ones. Tagline X and Y.”

As you can see, the conversation kept going on and they were literally going over a step-by-step plan. And quite frankly, the idea, plan, website name, etc was actually pretty damn good. I mean, I wouldn’t be writing an entire post on this if it was a stupid or bad idea.

Of course, right after they left, I decided to check if that domain was actually purchase (since they won’t be setting up the site for another month) and it was. And I did some quick research on the very targeted niche and the competition was actually lower than I excepted.

Again, ideas are just ideas unless someone actually does something about it… or copyright it. But in this situation, it is not. Would you potentially take this specific idea and use it for yourself if you knew it would be very targeted and potentially be worth pursuing?

Personally, I’m not sure if I will but of course, I’ll be keeping it in the back of my head. I mean, it’s not about who comes up with the ideas first, it’s almost who does the idea better.

I know some of my family and close friends are reading this and I’m probably not talking about you guys especially if I never worked with you before or we have an ongoing working relationship. But I have worked with some of you guys and honestly, it just doesn’t seem to work out.

Now a lot of these family and friends that I work with aren’t too keen of how making money online even works. Matter of fact, these are the same people who are just completely shocked that you can make money blogging and try to jump on the opportunity with it comes. Though, for some reason all they hear is “make money” but it seems as though no work gets done.

All Money No Work

I was once told that money doesn’t grow on trees because, well, it doesn’t. And even if it did, you still have to put some work into climbing up to pick money off, or raking in all the money that falls. Especially, if you want to make money, it doesn’t magically just happen.

It’s not like winning the lottery. And again, even if you win the lottery, it takes someone to walk over to the store, possibly fill out that little numbers sheet and purchase it. Then make sure you check back to see if your numbers was actually picked.

I tend to bring up working online with just about anyone I come across and I do understand that it’s not for everybody. But I don’t understand why they were go so far into working online to not do anything.

They Are Too Comfortable

This is another reason why I’m not a big fan of working with close friends or family, simply because they get too comfortable so they think they can just relax and get it easy. Don’t get me wrong, I think I’m a very laid back person but when push comes to shove, I get my work done. And honestly, I expect them to do the same.

For instance, I have this one person/friend who joined one of my teams, registered, learned the process and kept telling me they were going to do X, Y and Z for a couple of days straight and guess what? Nothing.

And honestly, I basically handed them the plate to eat and they just needed a folk and knife but they just didn’t go get it so they didn’t eat. And incase you didn’t get that reference (because I’m weird), I basically gave them everything they needed to do plus more, they simply just didn’t do it.

The unfortunate part comes this awkward moment when I have to cut ties with them because it just isn’t going to work out. I can understand if it was just me but I have to look out for my team on this one as well.

Lack Of Or No Communication

When you’re working with someone, matter of fact, if you’re just friends with someone, I thought it was pretty logical to communicate. If there were no communication, more than likely there would be no friendship, partnership, etc.

I think I see the lack of communication as they may be too scared to tell me “no” or they don’t want to do X, Y, Z, but I always tell people to just communication with me. If this online entrepreneurship isn’t for them then just tell me. There’s no hard feelings.

Now if they just try to avoid the whole situation, that’s where the problem lies.

Hardheaded And A Lot of Head Butting

I’ll be the first to say that I’m a little hardheaded but I’m actually pretty open minded than most. I’ll debate to the very end but if I’m wrong then I’m wrong and I’ll admit it. If someone has a better idea or argument, I’m more open to that than letting my hardheadedness get in the way and help sink the boat.

But there should be a lot less head butting or else working with family and friends just won’t work. Some people go into it thinking they know everything, yet, I had to teach them. There’s no need for that.

Bitter Taste or Hard Feelings

With everything I just said, some people have hard feelings and not only will your working relationship not work out at the end but there may be some bitter taste.

For instance, if you were to own a company and you hired your brother and they simply didn’t do any work because they’re related to the owner, well, they shouldn’t have any hard feelings if you cut ties with them. And they shouldn’t have hard feelings because they took advantage and didn’t do any work.

When it comes down to it, some people’s feelings may get hurt or people might get offended but if two and two don’t add up then it’s probably best not to mix things up.

Conclusion

Don’t get me wrong, my family and close friends will probably always be there for me in person and support me but working with them doesn’t seem to work. At least when it comes to working online. But who knows, maybe it was just a certain group of people that just aren’t that interested in making money online or just doesn’t have that motivation to do the work for it. Maybe it was just me.

Whatever it was, if I can work with people who are motivated enough and can get work done then I don’t care if you’re a family member, friend, random person or a bum. If we can be successful together then a little head butting is fine with me… it’s just when no work gets done that partnering up with whomever eventually won’t cut it.

Sorry for the long rant!

Maybe it’s just me but lately I’ve been seeing Darren Rowses’ face everywhere I go on the internet. Incase you guys have no idea who Darren Rowse is, he’s literally a “Pro Blogger” and makes a great living from it. His main blog is ProBlogger.net and he has over 141,000 subscribers, currently.

Anyways, I admit I don’t go to his website(s) as often as I would like especially since he has some useful information which is always helpful. And now that I’m pretty much done brown-nosing , we can finally get to where I’m seeing his face on the internet.

Well, I’m basically seeing his face on almost every site that has Google Ads displayed. Don’t get me wrong, I know he’s pretty popular, especially in the blogosphere, but how often would I want to see him. Of course, no disrespect to Darren but I swear I’m seeing him more times daily than I see my e-mails. And I check my e-mails a lot throughout the day!

Don’t worry, don’t worry, I wouldn’t want to see my face everywhere I go either.

To be fair, he probably has nothing to do with it. Well, maybe just a little bit. But it seems as though Chitika is running a crazy Google Adwords campaign and that’s why we’re seeing his face everywhere. Just think of him as one of the new spokespersons of L’Oreal Makeup, um, Chitika.

Incase you haven’t noticed it because your eyes shuts down just about any ad that’s on a website, it would look something like:

I know that’s probably not the best ad but that’s the latest one that I’ve seen. But I have seen their ads (and Darren’s face) on almost all of the main sites that I visit regularly including Youtube and most of my own sites. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw him lurking at you in the comfort of your own home while checking your e-mails! It almost feels like he’s internet stalking you!

But have you seen him lately? He’s like those Geico commercials with the money that has eyes with the “Somebody’s Watching Me” song playing in the background.

Please note: This post was just a joke and it’s not intended on offending anyone, particularly Chitika or Darren. I simply just wanted to comment on him appearing everywhere.

Outsourcing Pros and Cons – More recently I have been outsourcing some of my work because of the lack of time I have on working on so many projects. There are actually a lot of benefits to outsourcing but unfortunately, there are also some negatives that come with it.

What Is Outsourcing?

I’m sure you guys already know what outsourcing is but incase you don’t, it’s basically hiring a third-party person/service to do work for you that you need to get done.

An example of that would be if a company needed to get a lot of filing and processing of paperwork done, they would probably hire a temp to do that. More than likely, the reasoning behind that could be the company may have more important work at hand to get accomplished so they can’t use that time filing paperwork. Though, that simple task does need to get done at some point.

Outsourcing Pros

There are plenty of pros to outsource work besides the obvious fact that you’re getting necessary work done by paying a third-party service. But here’s a list of advantages I see when I outsource some of my work:

Huge Time Saver – I’m only one person who always has a lot on his plate and if I were to try to do all of the work by myself, it would take forever. Okay, maybe not forever but a lot of people like to think that “time is money” and if you can’t ever finish something then you’re losing money.

Cost Efficient - I just mentioned above that “time is money” and in most cases it is. But if you find the right price to outsource your work, at the end of the day you’ll actually be profiting.

Let me give you an example. Say it takes you two hours to review a product as well as write a paid review and you charge $100/review, I’m sure you can find plenty of people to do the work for you for $20. So, in this example you get to spend more time finding advertisers while someone else is writing your actual review.

That might not be the best example. Let me give you another one. Say you find someone who has a good reputation in SEO and they charge $50 for their service, you could cut out a majority of your work for the day to focus on something else. In the long run, you’ll be profiting if you use your time wisely.

Also, you can save money outsourcing especially if there are programs and other things that you would need to buy to get the work done.

Quality Service – Most people who does outsource work has a reputation to withhold so they should provide you with good quality service. If they don’t provide it, they may be hurting you a little bit with not accomplishing the work at hand but they’ll probably hurt their own reputation more than anything.

Targeted Accessible Specialized Skills - When you outsource work, a majority of the time there are people who specialize in the work you’re looking for so there’s no need to teach or train. It’s basically letting them know what needs to get done and they do it.

For example, if you wanted to get design work done, there are tons of designers who are more than capable of getting that done for you. All you have to do is tell them what you want and it should get done.

Outsourcing Cons

With the pros, there are always the cons. And I usually find more pros than cons when it comes to outsourcing needed work.

Doesn’t Meet Time Requirement - One of the worst things that can happen is if you have time sensitive work that needs to get done, you outsource and they simply don’t meet your deadline.

Luckily for me, I actually don’t outsource time sensitive work.

Miscommunication - With working online, there will always be some sort of miscommunication. It could simply be someone misinterpreting your message, a language barrier between the two or simply not being on the same page but yet proceeding with the work.

Quality of Work Not Up to Par – Whenever you outsource work that you could be doing, you probably have your mind set on how it should be done “the right way”. In your eyes it should be done in a specific way but that same quality of having someone do the work for you just might not be up to par.

Conclusion

There will always be pros and cons for just about anything that you do. When it comes to outsourcing your work, I would be careful on who you hire. But if you find that right person or service that meets your standards, that can actually benefit you a lot more in the long run.

And if you think about it, outsourcing work is tax deductible.
