Hey dude, the best editing software would be either Magix Movie Edit Pro or Sony Vegas, they are the best, I know they are production heavy and they have a learning curve, but it has all the features one would need on youtube.

I know this because this is what I use for my webseries. And it has worked out so good so far.

Dean – I’ve had a lot of things going on right now so I’m trying to sort out everything. Recently, I haven’t had that much to experiment with so I would rather not post crap articles, you know? I want to have good content that will be helpful and until I have time to write everything out, test, show results, it’s going to wait.

A good example is the fact that I’m finally getting to work on the whole Youtube channel and the whole video editing takes a lot more time and a lot to learn.

Hey Jay, Thought your post was right on, only because I think a lot of people are thinking about YouTube being their ticket to some extra moolah. Even I thought about YT only after seeing some of these kids or stupid tricks making money, I’m not sure where that money comes from but it does sound like a great idea. I had never once thought of editing which of course would be a very important aspect of the doing a good video. Thanks for your ideas,great post.

I’ve played around with that one a little bit. For the apst couple of days I’ve been thrown to the wolves with trying to use Final Cut Pro and since I’m not even a mac guy that is turning out to be difficult.

If you are not doing to fancy of stuff, Windows Movie Maker or iMovie( for the macheads) works pretty well for youtube vids. I bought my kid a copy of Pinnacle studio a while back and he can do some pretty amazing stuff with it.

I personally think using my iphone 3gs and uploading it is the easiest way to go for me. It is so quick and doesn’t really take all that much technical skill.
