Who could anticipated that Cell Phones were going to stop beign just cell phones? It’s amazing all the things you can do now with them. What I’ve noticed is that these days it’s becoming a very hard task for Nokia, Motorola and Samsung manufacturers to create Phones that can compete with the iPhone and Blackberry.

I recommend the Samsung Omnia 2 i8000…they say it’s the equivalent of iphone. It’s very nice and there’s a lot of features. Maybe you have to check it out.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I’m still debating and I was favoring the Moment a little bit until I read all these reviews with how the battery life really, REALLY sucks. And now I’m hearing better things about the HTCs…

I’ve already responded with my vote (Samsung Moment) but wanted to correct something in your original post about the Moment. It DOES have a flash for the camera. You have the option of having it on or not too. I LOVE the Moment.

I don’t really care on what my cellphone looks lie. For me having it is just a luxury. I think that I would go for simple one that I could use most of the times.

@Matt Kostan yes I have used a Palm Pre, it has small keys and NO ON SCREEN KEYBOARD if turned on the side. Learn to read.

Behind in terms of applications Aps are third or forth (Blackberry storms may even be better) best on the market right now and some of the most simple aps like Facebook are bare bones. Does a WordPress application even exist for the Pre? If it doesn’t Android market and iPhone ap store had them months ago.

Android phones I know Android is not a phone, which is why I picked the Samsung moment if a keyboard is a must for Dat or a Hero if he likes the onscreen keyboard.

If I was buying a new phone myself personally it would be a Nexus one or iPhone, but if you read through Dat’s post carefully he said the iPhone was not a option so I figured the carriers were a concern, eliminating both phones. Since Dat didn’t seem to excited about AT&T or T-Mobile.

Palm Pre is garbage and like I said a generation behind, the keyboard is terrible and I would rather have a on screen board then that one.

Yes the keyboard is small, so is the phone. I would take any physical keyboard over an on screen. This is coming from experience of using multiple htc phones, andriod, wm and yes, the palm pre.

A generation behind in terms of options? You mean wifi, bluetooth, 3g, GPS? Please explain.

I was recommending the 2nd generation pre which addresses most concerns of the original pre.

BTW andriod is an operating system, not an actual phone.

RE: Agent Deepak, the N97 is a great phone, but who wants to pay $500.00 on a phone you can not insure or get help with if you have a problem. Especially when the phone is only a few months ahead of the curb, but can only be brought on E-bay or a retailer online.

There are no guarantees with unlocked phones, except that they are expensive.
