Another year over and since I just reflected on how I did with my 2009 goals, I figured I would go over some of the best posts on DatMoney incase you guys missed it and some of the best things that came from DatMoney in 2009.
The Best Things That Came From DatMoney 2009
A lot of good things have come from DatMoney in 2009 but probably one of the best was failing in various aspects. I think you can’t fully succeed without failure and when I first started my online entrepreneurship with a former business partner, we failed miserably but we learned a lot from these failures.
Anyways, here are some of the best things that came from DatMoney in 2009:
I Did Not Sell My Blog – I’m sure you guys remembered when I put DatMoney for sale and I got a mixed review from people. Of course, the reason why I was selling in the first place was to have financial backup incase my day job didn’t work out. I had a few serious bidders but I never hit my reserve so I stayed with my blog so unfortunately for you guys, you’re going to have to continue to deal with me.
But I’m hoping to provide good content, things you guys can take and learn from and hopefully build relationships. Speaking of relationships…
Built Great Relationships – One of the best parts of having a somewhat reputable blog is the fact that you end up networking with a ton of people and build great relationships. Yes, a lot of them are business relationships which help you develop for the future but more importantly, the friendship. And although this may sound cheesy but friendships last a long time and sometimes having a friend is better than just a business partner.
Plus, it’s always great to just chat with people, learn things from each other as well as help each other make some money.
Reaching Milestones – You can really make a milestone out of anything but certain ones stand out more than others. For instance, I managed to hit the infamous 1,000 RSS feed subscriber mark and that’s an accomplishment that a majority of bloggers probably will never reach. I think the next big ones would be 5,000 and 10,000. Let’s see if I ever make it to those numbers.
Incorporating Blog Templates Here – I’m still working on various designs for myself but I did team up with WordpresstoBlogger to bring you guys free blogger templates to download. I haven’t been as good with updating you guys when new ones come out but I’ll just to get on that.
