Are you looking for the best CPM ad networks out there? Well, let me ask you this: do you get a lot of traffic and page impressions to your site but a low click through rate? Then I’m sure your Google Adsense earnings isn’t as good as it should be, huh? Well, CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) is a good way to go to help monetize your site even further.
A lot of people seem to mention they get a lot of traffic from search engines but yet, their Google Adsense earnings is pretty low. That either means the niche/topic have low paying keywords or the ads aren’t in good placement and they have low click through rates. In some occasions, it could be both. Well, CPM networks pay you by the impressions rather than the actual clicks. So, if you’re looking for an added way to monetize your site, CPM networks are the way to go.
Well, let’s get into some of the best CPM ad networks that I have seen, heard of and worked with. (This list is in no particular order.)
Tribal Fusion - I think this is probably the best CPM advertising network out there and probably has the best CPM rates as well. I read that, on average, they pay out about $1/CPM.
So, let’s say you put three of their ads on your page and you’re getting about 10,000 impressions (not unique visitors) daily, then you’re getting $30/day.
Of course, the downfall to one of the best CPM networks is the fact that they’re probably the strictest ones as well. They do require your site to have a minimum of 5,000 unique visitors daily, professional looking site, no spam or illegal actions, etc.
And even if you meet all those requirements, it’s still not guaranteed you’ll get in.
Remember one of my password protected post on the site that sold for $70,000, well, they were making about $3,000/month with Tribal Fusion.
interCLICK - They are just as respectable as TF but probably not as well known. They pay close to the $1/CPM range but their requirements don’t seem as bad. I think the main requirements from them are:
- no illegal, adult, etc.
- can’t have too many ads on any given page
- has to be english sites
- has to have a minimum of 25,000 pageviews monthly
And if you have a site with topics in automotive, business, education, gaming, health, news, social network, sports, technology, travel or women’s interests, they are always looking for those sites because they are a high demand.
ValueClickMedia - If you don’t get into the above two, ValueClickMedia has less requirements. Well, maybe not less but definitely not as strict. They only requirement a site to have 3,000 pageviews per month.
But the weird part is they don’t allow sites to have more than two 468×60 banners showing on one page (or a lot of ads in general). You can have other banner sizes but I guess you just can’t have more than two 468×60 ones.
Adsdaq - For some reason, this is probably my favorite of the bunch. The reason why is the fact that you adjust your own CPM rates. So, you can put it as high as you want or as low as you want. Of course, I wouldn’t put it too high because your fill-in rate will probably be low.
In addition, their requirements are very open. I think their main points are:
- your site needs to be primarily in English
- you can’t click on your own ads (obviously)
- and no porn/gambling sites
CasaleMedia - This CPM network is definitely good for a mid-traffic type site. The main requirement is the fact that you need at least 10,000 impressions monthly. And of course, all the standard things like no illegal stuff, needs to be in English, etc.
This is definitely a good choice because they also give the highest revenue share (supposedly).
So, those are the top CPM networks. I know I left a lot of CPM networks off this list but a lot of the other ones are from sites require your site to be getting hundreds of thousands or even millions of impressions monthly. And quite honestly, if you were getting that much traffic, you probably wouldn’t bother reading this post to begin with.
If you do need additional CPM ad networks, here are a few more listed below:
- BurstMedia
- Adtegrity
- Advertising
- PrecisionClick
- VideoEgg (video ads only)
So, if you need an additional source of income on top of the other ads on your site and you’re getting some good traffic, then check out these CPM networks and it’ll probably help you in the long run.

Great Post.
I think it;s pretty high to get into these kind of ad networks as they always want the best of the best. That means they only except sites with lots of traffic, high pagerank, high alexa and loads of other factors. It’s better to start joining these once you get high traffic and high PR
Nice post.

I am in the different case. I am getting a pretty high CTR(around 10%, I guess that’s considered high), but the cost per click is very low. I mean low by less than 5 cents.
By the way, thanks for your post. I will register for CPM account when I get over 5000 visitors per day =)
It seems difficult for people to get enough page impressions to qualify for some of these. Tribal Fusion seems like the best by far.
I am so impressed from this network, great!
If you are receiving a lot of traffic from Google organic search then it is the best to apply adsense advertisement. But if you are receiving a lot of traffics from else where, then it is time to move to impression advertisement tactic.

A CPM network is used a little differently than a CPA network. When you decide to use a CPM network, you want to get your online banner advertising in front of the masses, or okay, at least a couple thousand viewers regardless if they click on your banner ad or not. Of course, the goal is always to have a potential customer click on your advertising banner, go to your web site and take a desired action. However, with a CPM network you are also looking to brand your company to a higher volume of people and you are looking to generate more page views, rather than just actions.
The best part of this post is that its too good!!!!!!
Its hard earned experienced approach about CPM that makes more sense to me & hopefully everyone. But it shows in those simple practical tips that those aren’t gonna change tomorrow. It’s valuable understanding of all he sites that can have a lot of financial gains or your readers.

Your list contains the best and reputable CPM networks. But CPM networks generally have very strict norms for approval specially regarding the number of page impressions – this makes the entry of new sites almost impossible. Same is the case with me as I have already applied for Tribal Fusion and Casale media, only to be rejected. Thanks for giving the names of ValiuClickMedia and AdsDaq as these seems to be viable alternetives for new sites. I’m surely going to apply to these. If approved I’ll let you know.

I wonder how these CPM ad networks help blog beginners. The High the payout the high the requirement it needs. The best advice that I can give here is to not forget the original, experiment with Google. They also pay high, and indeed help beginners.
Casale media publisher requirement is a minimum of 10k unique visitor, not pageview, a month
I just signed up with adsdaq and for my campaign it says 55,000 available monthly impressions but I am only getting like 15 impressions a day even with a high bid! I emailed them two days ago…no response! Ugh..
