It looks like there has been yet another Google Pagerank update in June 2009 and some unfortunate news, this blog remains the same at PR2. But like I said before and I’ll continue to say it, Google Pagerank doesn’t really mean much!
If you live by Google Pagerank, more than likely you’ll die by Google Pagerank. A majority of the times when I talk about Google Pagerank and the updates, I usually emphasize the fact that you can still make money, still get traffic, still be successful with a PR0 or a PR10. Honestly, it doesn’t matter just as long as your site gets ranked in search engines.
And yes, your site can get ranked in search engines without a Pagerank.
But instead of discussing the whole thing about Pagerank doesn’t really matter, I’m going to switch it up a bit. I’m going to tell you the various changes in PR with some of my sites. And I want to hear from you guys to see if your PR has changed at all.
So, DatMoney remains the same at PR2. The main reason is the fact that I haven’t been building links for this site for a while now. Matter of fact, I haven’t been doing much promotion in general for this site because I’ve been focusing on a few other projects.
I was going to do a couple of link exchanges with blogs with similar stats and niche but I’m just not sure if I’m going to do that. I may consider it, though.
If you guys have been following this blog for a while, my Pagerank history went from PR0 to PR4 to PR3 to PR2. It has stayed at PR2 for the last couple of updates, I believe.
Some of my other sites have gone up and down but none have gone back down to a PR0. I think a few of my brand news sites have become PR1. And those are the sites that I’ve probably had for only a month or so.
Others have gone up to PR3 while some have dropped to PR2. Overall, I believe most of my sites have some sort of Pagerank.
Unfortunately for me, it doesn’t really mean much. Because Pagerank or no Pagerank, I can still manage to make money online and get traffic.
So, how did you guys fair with the Google Pagerank Update – June 2009?

I didn’t get any page rank for my blog. Thanks Greg Ellison
My rank went from PR0 to PR1. I was excited that I’m no longer a zero, lol.

I moved from Blogger to Wordpress just over a month ago and went from zero to two which is something I was happy about. Any idea what caused your PR to go from 4 to 2 over time?

I totally agree with you. PR doesn’t mean anything. I know a few webmasters that have PR0 sites and make over $1,000 a month from them.
Just to hurt some feelings. My blog is just over a month old and has a PR 3 with PR 2 internal pages. lol im mean

Greg – Are you trying to? Just submit your site to a bunch of social sites, comment on blogs and link from your other blogs and you should get something eventually.
Kristin – Who knows, you’ll be a PR3 on the next update!
Gerri – I basically stopped promoting my blog like I used to, stopped building links, stopped commenting, holding contests to get links, etc. I guess that eventually got to me.
Deneil – I know a whole bunch of them like that too. Shoot… Tyler Cruz was a PR0 at one point and he was still making hundreds/thousands from his blog itself.
Vishalhd – When you do, let me know what happened.
Jay
Yeah, that is a great example. Tyler Cruz is truly a great entrepreneur.

I didn’t realise that having no page rank or a good page rank was the same. I thought that a page rank was definately needed.. I guess that makes it a lot easier for everyone to have a shot at earning some money
Mine are all at PR0. I had one that was at a PR1 that went back to PR0. Oh well. A few of my blogs get 3,000-6,000 visitors a month so if Google doesn’t want to give me PR, that’s ok. It’s being read and that’s what matters.

Seems like there is a PageRank update taking place now that seems to be impacting sites that sell links. Can’t say that we were not warned about this. Danny Sullivan wrote Official: Selling Paid Links Can Hurt Your PageRank Or Rankings On Google over two weeks ago, and now it appears many sites are getting hit with a drop in PageRank.
I didnt notice any change on my side except for one of my really new domain which was zero and went to 1.

Another update so close to the last one?
I don’t really pay attention to the PR thing anymore since my blogs were knocked form PR3 to PR0. I make just as much money without PR as I did with it.
Although saying that I do have one blog that is PR2 and I can now add it to certain blog review networks who don’t allow PR0 or PR1 blogs in. So I might earn more now.

lovely pic, I have seen in seo forums that people are discussing about recent page rank update by google but i have not noticed any changes in my website http://www.otssolutions.com please confirm if any page rank update has been done in month of june
Well, with the recent Google Pagerank update, I actually remained at the same PR 3 that I’ve had for a while now. I guess that’s a good thing, I’ll take it =D hopefully for me by the next PR update I will be a PR 4, I think if I ever reach a PR 5 I would be super happy for sure!
Till then,
Jean
