When I posted my official introduction to reaching my goal of $60,000/year online, a lot of people were curious on how I was going to achieve it and what my plans are of accomplishing that feat. Well, here is a simple outline on my plans and what I’m going to try to do.
Before I continue, my problem isn’t the fact that I don’t know what I’m doing, it’s overcoming the procrastination and actually taking action. I think that’s the same problem most of us have when it comes to making money online. All these things are nothing new to any of you guys but it’s all about actually executing these plans and spend your time wisely.
For instance, I have been making a steady $1,500-$2,000 monthly and this is with very, very minimal work. Think about if I actually put effort into it; I think I should, at the very least, double that goal.
Now all of it isn’t laziness and procrastination, some of it is simply the fact that I don’t have time because I’m taking on too many projects at once. Though, I shouldn’t use that as an excuse, I should have better time management skills than what I’m presenting.
Anyways, let’s get to the plan. (Warning: This is pretty long)
Focusing and Time Management
Usually when I’m working, I’m multitasking while trying to do 3-4 things at once. Of course, depending on what I do, sometimes I get it done while other times I don’t completely finish and then I take an extended break on that project.
In addition, I usually have my instant messenger on which is a big no no, especially when people actually send you messages with interesting conversations and you get sidetracked.
And one bad part about my multi-tasking is the fact that I play online poker for real money and I always have a table open. Well, no more of that when I’m working!
I’m going to finally setup a bunch of sites in which I have domain names for. I have over 30 domains and only less than a third of that are actually setup with websites.
Preparations
It takes sometime depending on what you do to make money online. Some people are good enough to make thousands in one day but they are already prepared for it.
Me, I could do that but I’m more focused on the long run.
It looks like the day I posted that I would design your blog header for free, a lot of people jumped on that opportunity and I was hit me tons of e-mails (which I’m still trying to respond to so please be patient). I just wanted to toss out a few updates because it looks like some people didn’t read the first post, and I just wanted to add a couple of things as well.
1) I will only design blog headers for free in exchange for a do-follow link or two in your footer. Someone brought this to my attention when I went to check and it was no-follow links. Well, I’m trying to build some do-follow backlinks, not necessarily getting my design work out there.
If you do not support do-follow links on your footer, unfortunately, I’ll be passing on the opportunity to design your blog header for free.
2) If your blog does not meet the requirements or if it’s brand new, you do not qualify for a free blog header. I mentioned that new blogs would not be eligible for this and I requested that people have at least 100+ posts. And if you have close to 100 but have a Google Pagerank, I would consider it.
For some reason a lot of people are proposing things to me for their brand new blogs but the whole purpose of this little project is simply to build some backlinks. And although, I may still design new blog headers for people, I can’t guarantee I’ll get to all of them.
Like I said, I’m putting those with 100+ posts first and then moving down the list.
3) Multiple blog header requests will be taken. A couple of people asked if I would design a free blog header for various websites they own and my answer was “if they meet the requirements, then YES!” So, if you have multiple blogs that have 100+ posts, Pagerank, or whatever, then I will in fact design those as well.
4) I will do adult sites and select others. In the first post, I mentioned that I did not want to design adult, illegal, hate, spam, etc type sites but I will. The only catch is the fact that they will not be my first priority and if I can’t get to it then you’ll understand why.
5) Please at least read the post before contacting me. Can you guys please read the post before contacting me? It looks like people are contacting me without bothering with skimming the post at all. I know there are tons of people out there that do that (especially for contests), they read “free” and that’s all that matters to them.
I bolded the main things you needed to know, at least look at those before contacting me.
Anyways, that’s just a quick update on getting your blog header designed for free by me. Let me know if you have additional questions and I will answer them!

I know how you guys all like contests and what’s better than one that has amazing prizes that consists of a weekend getaway to the Caribbean, maybe a 42” Flat Screen TV to watch your favorite movies and shows or simply a $300 gift card to spend on whatever you’d like! Okay, DirectAgents.com is having their affiliate challenge for you to win these great prizes.
I know the contest isn’t featured on DatMoney but a contest is a contest, right? And if you’re into affiliate marketing at all, this will be a great shot for you to win. How can you not want to at least attempt to take a shot with these great prizes dangling in front of your eyes?
I mean, spring break is coming up soon, that’s even a better incentive to try to get a free trip to go crazy and party! And don’t you worry, the trip to the Caribbean is for a party of two so you can either treat it like a romantic getaway with your partner or bring a friend and you guys can end up on some dvd like “Girls Gone Wild – The Caribbean!”
Um, maybe “Guys Gone Wild” for some of you guys?
Personally, I’d rather go with the 42″ Flat Screen TV because I’ve been meaning to get a new one for quite sometime so I’d actually just aiming for second place.
The contest is pretty direct and easy so you don’t have to focus on tons of different aspects and products to try to promote. As I read, the only thing you need to do is drive leads to Bidz.com and whoever ends up with the most would win.
That seems pretty easy if you ask me. I think I may test it out after I see how the competition is doing.
Though, the catch is the fact that you do need to sign up through the contest page for it to be official. (Correction: You just need to run the Bidz.com short form campaign to enter) For more details, check out the contest page brought to you by DirectAgents and Bidz.
You have a few days before the contest officially starts which would be on February 15th, 2009 and runs through March 31st.
So, hurry up and get on it. You want to have the slight edge on your competitors from day one!
Good luck to everyone!
Yes, you’ve read correctly, I will design your blog header absolutely free of charge! Nope, I’m not smoking anything, I’m not drunk and I’m not about to do this just for anybody.
I’m sure for those you guys that have used my services before, you obviously know what kind of designs I’m capable of doing. And if you need some examples, feel free to check out my banner designs page. But since I haven’t updated it with new designs for quite sometime, I figured I’d just post a few of the headers that I have done on here.
Header Examples:

I guess you guys can be the judge on if it’s worth it to you or not. I mean, you’re not losing much especially since you’re not paying a single dime out of your pockets.
So, what’s the catch exactly?
Ahhh… yes… the catch… right… well, there are just a couple of minor catches I do require but it’s nothing too drastic or anything so you don’t have to worry. I would require a simple do-follow link or two on the footer of your blog.
See, that’s not too bad! The links are out of the way so it’s not distracting anyone. Plus, you probably already have a link or two on your footer from your blogs designer. This is basically the same thing except there will be a link next to your blog designer’s link like “Custom Blog Header by DatMoney.com” or something on those lines.
And just as long as you continue to use my custom header, the link should stay there as well to give me credit.
I don’t foresee too many people jumping on this opportunity but in the extreme case that everyone decides to bombard me because they read “free” in the post title; I will have to put some sort of requirement and restriction.
If your blog has over 100 total posts and gets updated regularly (meaning it’s not a dead blog) then you will have first preference. And if you are close to 100+ posts but you have a Pagerank, then I will consider you as well.
I’d like to mention again that the links should be do-follow.
Oh, before I forget, please no adult, illegal, hate, spam, etc type sites!
This offer doesn’t last forever as I’ll only take requests through February 22nd, 2009.
Please contact me with your blog URL, size of the header, anything specific you want in the design, etc if you’d be interested in getting a free custom header designed by me.
Did I mention FREE?!?!
The following is a paid review in my honest opinion. Being paid is good but it does not influence the review. If you’re interested in a review of your site or product, please visit my advertising page.
I was recently introduced to this new community and forum, NetBuilders.org and I have to admit, I was extremely impressed. Not only did the design stand out to me, compared to the dull designs I usually see with other blogging and webmaster forums, the threads are actually very informative without all the spam type messages you usually see clogging up every section.
Now I know what you guys are thinking – “this is probably just like any other webmaster forum out there, right?” But the difference is the fact that you will actually get help with constructive criticism in details rather than someone giving you a one-line response and dropping links for their own self-promotion.
Not to mention the fact that they have some interesting features that I have never seen on any other forum that I’m a member of but I’ll get to that in a second.
Will, the owner of NetBuilders, is very knowledgeable so if another forum member doesn’t help you, he will personally advise you on his thoughts and opinions so you will always get some help or get pointed in the right direction.
Now, NetBuilders isn’t huge with thousands of members… yet, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. First of all, they have 782 total members and they have 762 active members. Most forums will never have that high of a percentage of total-to-active members ever. Matter of fact, forums would be lucky to have more than 50% of active members.
Don’t believe me? Go to any of your regular webmaster forums and check out the stats for yourself.
But that’s not even the best part, since they are a small community that is increasing everyday; you get more undivided attention when you need help. And like I said, there are knowledgeable and dedicated members willing to help you.
Now let’s get into those cool features I haven’t seen with any other webmaster forums:
1. They have a blog section. You can create your own blog section within the community which is another good way of getting your own self-promotion out there or simply just conversing with others.
2. They have a chat feature. Unlike many other forums, this one has a live chat feature so you can talk directly with people just like instant messenger. Personally, I think that’s pretty cool to have so you don’t clog up your private messages.
Quite frankly, this forum will probably make it onto my “13 Blogging Forums You Should Join” simply because it’s a great community and if you’re always looking to gain more knowledge with making money online, building websites or whatever, this is a great stop.
Plus, to make it on the list I feel you should benefit from being a member and there are plenty of reasons you would benefit from it. (Support, help, friendly environment, lots of knowledge and things to learn, etc)
Matter of fact, you can add me as a friend on there. My name is “WhoJayBe” and you can add me from your User CP options. So sign up here and add me already, my friends list is pretty lonely!
Hope to see you there!
