Akismet is a life saver. Absolutely mandatory when you run a high profile blog. I love the angle of this article. Akismet is good thing, but saving comments we do MySQL-base bigger. KeyWords better analyse in SeoDigger and Google Hot Trends.

So you’re saying the people that are spamming for backlinks have already done there researched and come to the conclusion that the keyword they’re spamming is a profitable keyword.

Akismet really helps to keep your comment section clean from spam. However I’m not sure if it’s worth the time unless your blog gets spammed big time.
