Until the toolbar pagerank "icon" reflects live data, something I have only scarcely read about, the toolbar pagerank is useless. Considering the abilities of Google, having a tool that reflects data that is up to 6 month old is quite ridicules.

Google should just stop showing PR. What benefit is it to them? People are trying to game it, trying to sell it, etc.. I don't see a single benefit for google to show us this information.

So many things you have changed. Luckily, your Top Commentators widget is still dofollow. I will try my best to be on it. It is good to nofollow paid links as google will penalty those sites giving dofollow links to paid links.

That's just weird, which are and aren't and I have no idea how to get into any of them.

What about links in content, are those inherently do or no?

Jason - The only way I would care is if my website(s) don't show up in Google anymore. But PR, eh...

Ben - I thought I stated why? I'm doing it as an experiment... so if the next updated I magically go up to PR4 or something without building additional links, I guess I'll know why I dropped.

Hugo - Google doesn't like a lot of outgoing links from websites. If you get a lot of incoming and outgoing, they might see it as like a link farm. I have a lot of links that will get picked up in search engines cause they are currently "dofollow." If I change them to "nofollow" then that means less outgoing links...

Did I make any sense? lol

Melvin - I got it on my Yahoo e-mail. Thanks... I haven't read it yet but I will tonight.

Blog for Bloggers - You should make the irrelevant links "nofollow." For instance on your blog, I would make the RSS Feed button, your ads, your pages on your nav menu, etc no follow. Because it's not like you need/want them to be picked up by the search engines to rank anyways, right?

Dennis - I'll change the prices on the banner design page when I fix up that entire page in general.

It depends on how your site is setup. But looking at your site, the only things that are "nofollow" that I can see are your top commentators (which is weird if you ask me), your list of links, recent comments, social bookmarking links and comments.

Your recent posts are all "dofollow" and everything else including your "other cool stuff", most popular, nav menu, etc.

A busy boy I see. You need to change the banner prices on the banner page itself.

Speaking of no-follow, I thought contextual links were inherently no follow unless we made them do follow - is it the other way around?
