First, I finally got my internet back at home so now I’ll be going back to my regularly scheduled posting!

Since we’re staying on the site flipping topic, I figured I’d make this fun and have you guys participate. Well, if you want to. But we haven’t listed ListLunatic.com yet but I’m just wondering how much do you guys think its worth and how much do you think it will actually sell for?

Now, here’s the catch. I won’t be giving you guys any details on the site itself (how much it has made, visitors, backlinks, etc) so you will be guessing completely blindly based on what you see.

But you have to keep in mind that this site is so unique that I’m sure a bunch of people are going to start copying it.

Matter of fact, I know for a fact that people are starting to copy it. Someone actually came up to me and told me that and get this, they wanted me to give them a catchy brandable domain name for them to use. So, in essence, you wanted me to do all the creative aspects of the site and they would just plug in random lists?

You should know my answer was no.

Anyways, sorry for getting slightly off-track there… So, whoever guesses closest to the sale amount will get a small percentage of my portion of the earnings!

But please remember, it’s only a small portion of my personal earnings from the sale. Since it was a group project, it’s already split four ways.

So, if the blog sells for, say, $2,000, I would get $500. And it’s from that, I would give a small portion to whoever guesses the closest amount of the sites sale. The price has yet to be determined but it all depends on how much the site actually sells for.

If two (or more) people guess the same number, I will pick the person who guessed first. And if two people happen to pick different numbers but ends up being both the closest (for instance, if someone guesses $300 and someone guessed $500 and the blog sells for $400) I will just let random.org choose between the two.

Personally, I’m not listing the site, our team leader, Girish, will be doing that. I talked to him yesterday and he’s been pretty busy so I can’t give a deadline for this. I would say you guys can guess until the site actually sells.

But only one guess per person!

Anyways, test your luck, you could win some cash!

$400 is what I think it would sell for, but you should really ask us this after you put it up for sale. If we bid now and you put it up for sale later, it will inflate some of the stats.

Oh man. How can I guess without knowing the stats/revenue? Who’s writing the sales page? How long are you listing it for? Will there be a minimum bid and a BIN?

What are you doing to me JayMoney????

I’m going to go with $649.

    Cheers!

This is an interesting concept. Lists are always a big link attractor so the site does have potential. Assuming you guys are generating a little revenue and you’ve built the traffic some, its likely worth $2500.

Of course the concept here is really where the value is. This is the only site I’m aware of that has the same concept although there may be others now. So who know what someone may pay for just the concept with this domain name.

I think that the value of ListLunatic goes up when it is talked about because it gets people to see others talking about it as well, and that evokes a partial competitive thought-process. I would say that this is beneficial towards the goal of the procedure.

I agree with Armen:”I think that the value of ListLunatic goes up when it is talked about because it gets people to see others talking about it as well, and that evokes a partial competitive thought-process. I would say that this is beneficial towards the goal of the procedure.” I will still place a price tag of about $1321.11

The blog is in good shape, has a solid niche, and sports a nice design.

It is hard to come up with a number (since so many variables are missing) and SP lately has been slow.

    But…….my guess is $780
