Winner(s) of the Nintendo Wii and Ad Spots

Sunday, August 31st, 2008 | Contests with 15 Comments

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Market Leverage once again for sponsoring this wonderful contest and a special shout out to Dina and Debby! And I would also like to thank everyone for participating.

Anyways, before I get to the winners, I just wanted to say a few things.

There were some people who didn’t comment to verify their e-mails and some people that just commented with an e-mail that wasn’t even subscribed. If you were subscribed, I asked you to comment with the same e-mail you subscribed with, of course, people didn’t so I couldn’t verify if they were really subscribed or not.

You have to understand that I do double check and anyone can simply stop by and say “I’m subscribed” and not really be, you know?

Anyways, those people were not added because I couldn’t verify their e-mail addresses. Sorry, but you should read the rules next time!

Also, if you did not verify or confirm the e-mail subscription or unsubscribed before the contest was over, your entries did not count either.

For those just commented just to say “I want to win a Wii!” or “I hope I win this time!” Well, I guess you weren’t trying to win one through my contest, huh? Simply stating you want to win doesn’t enter you into this contest.

But thanks for commenting!

Now, you know why I increased the value of the entry points for e-mail subscribers and blogging about it.

Anyways, I didn’t promote this contest as much as I should have but there was a reason behind it. I wanted to see if people who subscribed would actually participate in this contest or not and if they actually read my posts being a subscriber. I mean, over 400 subscribers and not that many entries…

Also, I know a bunch of people didn’t enter because it was too hard or simply because they didn’t want a Nintendo Wii (but rather an iPod Touch), well, I made this contest a little harder as a simple test. I wanted to see if people were actually willing to work a little bit for a great prize… and I guess not.

Anyways, here are the winners for the Nintendo Wii and ad spots that were randomly picked by random.org:

- Nintendo Wii winner: Tame your Technology (radams [at] music…)
- 125×125 ad spot on DatMoney.com: Les (lessca01 [at] big…)
- Text Link ads on DM and iBlogtoBlog: Barbara Baker (barb [at] stx…) and Catherine (family [at] digio…)

Please contact me via my contact form by Wednesday September 3rd at Midnight Eastern time to claim your prizes. Unfortunately, if you do not claim your prizes by then, I will be forced to draw another winner.

And don’t worry, if you didn’t win this time around, you should know I always have fun contests!

Oh, and before you decide to unsubscribe in the next 10 seconds, if you do and people do not claim their prizes, you will not be eligible for the redrawing.

Look at Me, Look At Me, That is simply what people trying to enter, without even reading the details are doing, and while we look, they will never win. Good for US.
