As someone who’s currently looking for sponsors and running a contest i do have to agree with you…

I’ve taken time to find people’s names and try to look at it from their point of view i.e. what’s in it for me?

I’m going for a creative angle and giving all my sponsors a logo on a tshirt. I’ll then wear that tshirt jumping out of a plane + any cash raised is all going to charity…

I think when people just hold a contest for no reason and don’t do anything creative for it, it’s always going to result in the sponsor losing out.

Dear webmaster, will you sponsor my special contest today? I offer absolutely nothing for you, and if you don’t reply in two minutes then I am going to ask again. A lot of people hate me, I am not sure why, JUST SPONSOR MY CONTEST!
