DatMoney.com and iBlogtoBlog.com but you should also know you can make money outside the MMO/Blogging tips niche so I had a challenge/bet taken by Jason a.k.a. TUK so I figured we’d make this official.
I’ve been preaching you can make tons of money outside the MMO niche but people tend to overlook that fact. Some people think starting a MMO blog is the only way to go with making money but I had proof you can make just as much outside of that niche.
I even mentioned that I bet I could make more money blogging from iBlogtoBlog.com than I could with DatMoney.com and Jason didn’t agree and he was open to taking that bet “anytime.”
I’ve decided to experiment with various niches’ to see how well I could do with making money with those blogs so I can report back and let you guys know. The reason why I’m doing that is the fact that there are tons and tons of niches’ outside the MMO niche that you can make more money from. I’ll let you know in a later post on which niches’ I’m diving into, so subscribe to my RSS Feeds to stay updated!
Anyways, back to the challenge/bet I have with Jason.
To sum it up real quick, I have to make more money from iBlogtoBlog.com than DatMoney.com ; only money generated from the blogs so that does not include banner designs which is associated with DatMoney.
Jason let me set the rules, so here it is:
- Since I didn’t really start making money from DatMoney until February/March (which is 4-5 months after the blog started), I figured we’d wait until iBlogtoBlog.com was 4-5 months old (currently it’s about 2 and a half months old). After that time, we’ll take one months revenue to determine which blog makes more.
- I can make money in various ways on either blog but it has to be directly linked to the blog. For instance, services such as my banner design work will not be included into the blog revenue.
- No blackhat methods will be allowed. Although, money is money, I’ll stay clean with this experiment.
If Jason wants to add anything else, feel free.
Prize:
The loser has to write a full review of the other person’s blog (of their choice!) Jason and I both manage a few blogs so I figured we’d let each other choose, even though we’ll probably choose Theuniversitykid.com and DatMoney.com .

As far as experimenting with different niches, I also do that and as a summary, make money online blogs = fail (If you are thinking of starting one. There are plenty that are prosperous already).
Nathaniel – Yeah, I wrote an article on people making more money OUTSIDE the MMO niche and so far, so good! But not all MMO blogs fail, just a majority lol…
Just curious though, when you experimented with the different niches, did any of them succeed? I’d be interested in talking with you on stuff like that… do you have Yahoo messenger? AIM?

I have AIM, but I am in the middle of experiments, especially with interior design. I have some more I am starting, but I don’t have that much to show. I have experimented through different niches with one site. Btw my AIM is yunkaka.

Nice. Having a competition within your blog will really keep you busy. I do not know who will win. As far as I know Jason have quite a good knowledge on money making with blog and he seems quite serious about this bet. I really hope you win the bet.
