Okay, don’t panic! But Google is currently not showing Pagerank for ANY site!
I actually just noticed it today because I’m working on a project that includes Google Pagerank on various blogs and sites, but as I went to go open up my Internet Explorer (I’m a Firefox user but the Google Pagerank Toolbar is installed on IE) I noticed that my homepage, DatMoney.com didn’t have a PR.
Now, I know I’ve been emphasizing that Pagerank doesn’t mean much and it’s just a number, but for some, it’s like God’s gift to their website. So, I noticed I didn’t have a Pagerank, which it didn’t really bother me. But since I’m working on a current project that involves Pagerank, I figured I’d check out a few other sites because overall, if Google Pagerank isn’t showing up then it’s going to affect my statistics on my current project.
Now, I decided to check on all of my blogs which originally had Pagerank; nothing. So, I decided to check out a few blogs that I visit regularly; nothing.
I thought it was pretty odd that none of these blogs and sites had a Pagerank associated with them. So, of course, I went to Google.com because they have to rank themselves, right?
And yes, you’ve guessed it; nothing.
Now I would have to assume Google must be updating or working something out. But since there are die hard fans of Pagerank, you don’t want to have the entire web panicking and blowing air into a paper bag simply for this.
So, maybe I’m just a noob and I never noticed this before but why isn’t Google Pagerank showing up for any site?
