First of all, I want to thank Market Leverage for their generosity in sponsoring these great prizes. I’m impressed on their impact in the Blogosphere, but I think I’m more impressed on how friendly and down-to-earth everyone at ML is – especially Dina (who arranged these great prizes with me), Erick (who I briefly talked to on the phone) and Jennifer (who I haven’t officially met but she’s my new contact manager and I’m sure she’s just as nice). You guys should check them out!

Now, I know you guys are seeing Market Leverag e sponsored contests everywhere, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. That means there are plenty of chances of winning all these great gifts. I mean, who wouldn’t want an iPod Nano, a Flip Mino, $200 Rewards gift card or a USB pen? Well, since these contests are everywhere, I’m going to make the ways to enter extremely easy, yet, let all contestants be able to express themselves with creativity.

First, The prizes:

1. iPod Nano

2. $200 ML Rewards Gift Card

3. ML Flip Mino

4. ML USB Pen

There are three ways to enter (all of them are easy and pretty open):

10 entries – Write a post on your own blog on any of the following topics: a) Who has been your role model growing up? b) If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?, Or c) If there was no internet, what would you be spending your time doing?

1 entry – for EACH vote of this contest post on any social media/bookmarking that’s NOT Digg.com. Please comment here with which site(s) and your username so I can verify.

I hope that’s simple enough. I made it somewhat creative because I want people to have fun doing this instead of that typical “Please subscribe or write about the contest, blah, blah, blah.” And this time I decided not to have people subscribe to my RSS Feeds because a bunch of people will just unsubscribe after. And I’m hoping people choose the post option so their own readers will get to know them a little better as well.

This contest will end at 11:59pm on Thursday, July 3^rd. Winners will be randomly picked by random.org (thanks Tina for pointing that out!) and announced to celebrate Independence Day on July 4^th! Woohoo!

I think Superhero is too fictional for me. I just couldn’t imagine myself to be one realistically.

If there is someone whom I wish I could be, I shall say, Michael Scofield from the Prison Break series. Not only he is too cool to be smart, more importantly he values the importance of brotherhood and friendship. That’s what makes him thick and that’s what I value most – “brotherhood”.

I have been begging for years for a way to have more awake hours in my day. So, if I could have a superpower it would be to only have the need to sleep once a week. I mean, do you have any idea how much work I could get done if I could just stay awake? Especially if my kid still needs sleep! OH, I’d be in heaven between my accomplishments and the money I could make by not sleeping. LOL

If there was no internet, I would be spending my time researching and developing a way that the whole world could communicate through computers. A way where any piece of information could be retrieved instantly. A revolutionary way to… “network”… internally. I think I would call it… the Netinter!

Superhero? Well, you have to know that Wonderwoman leaps to mind: who wouldn’t love the boots? But Tap’s already grabbed that one, and also there’s that whole small problem of a Canadian superhero wearing the stars-and-stripes… so maybe I’ll have to go with Catwoman. Okay, okay, so she’s a villainess rather than a heroine, but still, think about it: sneaky, evil, powerful, unbeatable in that shiny black cat suit, who wouldn’t have fun with that character? And of course, if I were Catwoman, she’d immediately give up all her evil ways and use her skills with that whip for the good of the world.

I am a great fan of Heroes. In my opinion best power is Telekenisis because you can use it in many ways. You can control everything without actually coming in contact with it. The character who has this power in the show is called Sylar and I think he is a perfect villain.

I think the main reason that I would like to have the super power of flying like Superman would be that it would give me a different perspective on life. Being able to fly would just make things a lot more convenient too and considering the current gas prices, a lot cheaper also!

a) If you had superpowers or could be a superhero, what or who would it be and why?

I’d like to have Superman’s powers because I’d like to try what he did to make the World go backwards and go back in time to fix any bad things that happened and prevent any other bad things from happening. And who wouldn’t want to be called SUPER MAN

b) If you could live the life of any fictional character, who would it be and why?

I liked the movie Matrix (or M8rix as I like to call it) and I’d like to be Neo as crazy as that sounds. Just the things that character was capable of in the movie, he was a modern day type Superman.

c) If you could coach any current sports team professionally, which one would it be and why?

Dallas Cowboys because they are my favorite NFL team and occasionally I don’t like the way the coaches call plays. I’d like to take that team over and take them to the Super Bowl

I’d probably have to pick stopping time as my power with the ability to interact with things as I see fit while time is stopped. The superpowers that I’d like is strength, hearing, and healing. Id hear peoples distress call, I’d have the strength to get people out of crumbled buildings, and cars, and then I’d be able to heal them.

The healing I would want to do covertly. Like sneak into hospitals and heal sick people and then sneak back out.

If I had any superpowers or be could be a superhero…I think would like to be or have the powers of the Phoenix from X-men because she’s like invinsible and can basically like kick everyone’s ass. Though, she is sorta evil and all but yeah I think she’s an awesome character.

And I know Im supposed to choose like one but this superhero is sorta new. But I think Hancock is pretty awesome and wouldnt mind having his power eithe and he finds time to chill and save the world at the same time so thats cool. =]

As for my superpower, I’ve always been a huge fan of Superman so I would have to say the ability to fly and get places really fast would be mine. This way it wouldn’t really matter that I can’t drive and I’d never be late!

if i could coach one sports team it would be the toronto maple leafs – thats a hockey team for those who don’t know – an NHL team. the reason is b/c the team has been really bad since 1967 which is the last time they won a stanley cup and are not about winning anymore, just about making money as they know Toronto fans are loyal and will always sell out games even if they lose all of them. i can’t imagine my coaching could make them any worse than how they are, so it would be a good thing, they need all the help they can get. thanks for the contest!

Finally getting caught up posting. Been doing a few of the entry work but wanted to post once I had it all done .

my answer for the comment post/entry: if you could be any superhero, who would it be and why?

– Choosing a superhero is actually kind of hard. Not only are there so many very cool powers that would be awesome to have that it would be hard to choose, most superheros don’t have the best, or happiest lives. Most are actually in pretty bad places as far as being happy and content. I guess that is the price of serving the people huh?

Anyway, I’d probably go with Superman. Sure, he isn’t the happiest superhero out there but overall I think he is ok. He has a pretty hot woman. He has a real easy time fitting in when not in tights. And of course he has a nice set of cool powers…the best, for me, would be to fly. It would be awesome to sore through the sky, even into space anytime I wanted. And of course not having to worry about getting hurt and being super strong and all the other little tricks just make it all that much better. On top of that, Superman is arguably the peoples favorite super hero…the all around great guy, for the most part. So having the powers, being popular and then being able to have a normal life between saving people would be pretty nice. I’d probably change the costume a bit though…I’m more of a “baggy and loose” clothes type of guy. The tights would be hard to handle.

I would choose to coach the Chelsea Football Club. They have many talented footballers and the financial muscle to sign any players that I want. I could create great history by winning many competitions and win them in style! Maybe dominate the competitions for half a decade or so?

If I could be a superhero, I’d have a mixture between Superman and Hiro’s powers – teletransportation, time travel, flying, superhearing and x-ray vision. Healing powers would also be great – to heal both myself and others.

If I could choose any superpower in the world it would be the ability to bring peace to the world, heal people or at least the possibility to help them out of their troubles. (things like ending hunger, poverty, war, etc)
I think that there are more than enough resources in the world for everybody, but they are not fairly distributed.
If I had those superpowers I could change that.

I would live the life of Jack in the Sun also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway. Jack is free to do whatever he pleases and he travels the world soaking in everything at his own pace. Or maybe Hunter S. Thompson in the Rum Diaries, only w/o all of the drama.
