entrecard addict

Can you tell who’s an Entrecard fanatic and who’s not? Well, it’s easier to distinguish who’s the overemphasized Entrecard blogger/user and who’s not. Let’s go over 20 reasons that say you are a Entrecard addict, shall we?

Entrecard has become a pretty popular networking and advertising site for bloggers that don’t have the luxury of spending money, but rather credits one has to earn. But are people relying way too much on Entrecard? Are they addicted to it so much that they need some sort of rehabilitation?

Yes, some of them may very well need help!

But here’s some ways you can tell if you are an Entrecard addict:

1. You log into Entrecard every hour (or have before) looking to be the first one to advertise on a newly submitted Entrecard blog.
2. You drop more than 200+ Entrecard’s each day.
3. You drop 300 Entrecard every single day (you need to get a life if you do this regularly)
4. You joined everything related to Entrecard (Entrecard forums, groups, colts, etc)
5. Over half of your posts on your blog consists of Entrecard-related topics
6. You only read blogs that have Entrecard-related topics in it
7. You stick up for Entrecard whenever someone mentions anything remotely negative about it
8. It costs over 500 credits to advertise on your blog
9. You have thousands and thousands of credits stored up… and you only been a member for a week!
10. You advertised on at least half of the blogs listed at Entrecard already
11. You log in to Entrecard more than five times a day
12. You hold Entrecard credit contests every few days in an attempt to gain more readers
13. You enter those Entrecard credits contests in attempt to get those credits.
14. You live by Entrecard, you die by Entrecard
15. You suck up to Graham, the owner of Entrecard on every chance you get
16. You know exactly where every single blog is listed under each of the categories
17. You feel 10,000 Entrecard credits is worth more than $20.00 USD
18. You spend actual money to buy Entrecard credits
19. You think Entrecard is the best thing since the internet came out
20. You have the Entrecard widget on every single blog you own which means you have a different account for every single blog!

If a few of these apply to you, you’re just a regular Entrecard user (still have problems though).

If half of these (or more) apply to you, I’d say you need to get a new hobby.  I heard mountain biking is good this time of year.

If you happen to fall under every single one of these, well, first, you really need to get a life, but also, you need professional help.  Unfortunately, I cannot help you there!

Oh, and if none of these apply to you, good for you!  You are Entrecard free and someone should buy you a happy meal!

only no. 11 applies to me. I had fun in dropping between 30-60 per day, then using all the credits earned to advertise.

Ceblogger - Eh, that’s not too bad. I stopped dropping completely, but that’s just me. Though, I still do have the widget as you can see…

Tamera - I rather pay for a happy meal for you cause, well, it’s cheaper than gas prices! :-)

Guess I’m not an addict!! I was doing about 75-100 darops per day for a couple of weeks then they changed thir way of doing this, so I don’t go there all the time. Maybe, just maybe 10 drops per day now!! I don’t like their new set up way!! Shyed me away!

Well, some but far from all of your ways apply to me. I do drop for the most part 200-300 per day and I do participate in the forums (which is how I knew about this post, so be happy for one reader and commentator). Most of the rest don’t apply at all.

EntreCard is a tool which used wisely and judiciously can help advance a blog in the internet.

Nope - only on one blog. I do try to return drops, but I can’t even keep up with those sometimes.

It sounds too scary to me! I’ve seen kids addict on SMS and messenger. However, your description on Entrecard addiction seems worse than SMS and messenger.
If people want actual traffic, they can leave message on other people’s blog to create link or submit to search engine and web directories. It’s more traditional and more generic.
I just wondering the quality of Entrecard created traffic. It may be just pure traffic [everybody want to make money type]. You may not even get any revenue on pay-per-click ads. What’s the point to creat pure traffic but not revenue with so much effort.

too sad for those folks falling under these criteria.
im with AndyT concerning the quality of traffic. there are more important things than being addicted to something useless. some say it “improves” alexa’s rank, but that is also useless; who care about it?!
let’s make content for our readers, and promote the blogs wisely

I barely drop 10 cards each day. So I’m definitely out of this category.

Junkie - LOL! Well, we’re all here to help. But in the long run, you should fade away from Entrecard, well, in the sense of getting traffic to your site, at least.

Matter of fact, you should join my “Get Traffic” contest if you haven’t already done so. Check the sidebar for the post…

Very amusing post on EntreCard. I must admit when I first started using it, I showed most of the above symptoms.

Thankfully, I’ve slacked off and down to visiting only a handful no. of sites now. Unfortunately, with the new EntreBar, the urge to drop more cards is getting stronger… :)
