So, this is my second official earnings report and recap and honestly, it’s not too bad, though, March was actually a down month for me. But I like these posts because I feel a lot of people like to read these due to the fact they want to know how people actually make money online. I mean, if you have a blogging tips or MMO (make money online) blog, you should show that you actually can make money online, right? Yup!
Please remember: This is a total of all my online earnings and not only from my blog. I did this to show that people should not rely strictly on one source of income.
Before I get to my detailed earnings, it was not as good as my February earnings but I think there were a few key factors: I did finally switched to Wordpress and my own hosting which took me some time and effort. And with that time spent, it took away from some making money opportunities. Also, I did not promote and market as much as I should have been doing; particularly with my ad/banner designs, I did 0% promotion in the month of March.
So, here are the details of my online earnings:

Well, definitely not close to quitting my day job with these earnings, huh?
There’s a few things you guys want to know about these earnings, even though I answered them in February’s earning’s post but no one really reads the details lol. So, I’ll mention these in details and we’ll see how many people ask the same questions.
First, I dropped a couple of ways of making money such as Adbrite, Kontera and a few others simply because they weren’t producing as much as I wanted them to. More than likely I’ll be dropping a few more of these that aren’t producing, but we’ll see how it goes.
As far as the banner designs, I did absolutely no promotion for those but people still managed to find me so that’s always a good thing. Though, there was a pretty decent drop in earnings compared with the previous month.
For the paid review sites of Payperpost and Buyblogreviews, those earnings are strictly from referrals.
Now, “Misc” is from other earnings that I felt couldn’t be added as its own category. This ranges from selling things online to getting paid for helping someone with their site or some sort of winnings (via contests, online poker, etc).
So, how am I going to increase my earnings for April?
Well, last month I signed up for various paid review sites, but I rarely participated in those. Though, signing up with Payperpost, Smorty, Blogsvertise, Linkworth and Buyblogreviews has helped with referrals.
This month I will be focusing on a few things:
I have signed up for NeverBlueAds and there are many companies that pay strictly for leads. I can guarantee you that I’ll make a pretty fair share from them. So, if you haven’t signed up with NeverBlueAds, I’d suggest you do so. (And for those that don’t have Paypal, they will send you a check)
Additionally, I have joined in on a friendly competition with some fellow bloggers to build a new blog from scratch and after a couple months, we all sell our own sites. We should all profit from this, though, the price will probably be different for each of us. Though, everyone should win if we’re all able to sell them!
Recap on Blog Stats:
Pagerank: Went from 0 to 4
Alexa: I know Alexa doesn’t mean much but people still use this to determine traffic. Well, I dropped under the 100,000 mark and I’m currently sitting at 84,000.
Technorati: At the start of March, I was sitting at 5,816 but now I’ve dropped down to 3,900.
RSS Feeds: I’m actually pretty disappointed that this number did not have a huge increase. I think it went from 177 to 206. Though, when I hold my next contest within the next week or two, I’m sure I can raise it a little more but you should subscribe to help me out!
Unique visitors and Pageviews: This one cannot be determined simply due to the fact that my stats were not being tracked for about a week during my conversion from Blogger to Wordpress and new hosting.
Comments: Good lord! My comments have skyrocketed since I switched to Wordpress. Since I moved to Wordpress, I’m averaging about 23 comments per post.

I know if I made a post saying how much I made blogging last month, I’d get a LOT of laughs.

As much as I love your blog and your strategies on making money, I highly suggest you start reading BloggingExperiment’s posts. There’s a new owner and he makes a great point that CONTENT is better than money. You’re doing way too much sponsored posts and it leads away bigger viewers.
