The main problem (apart from the fact that they repeat what has already been posted many times before)is that it only attract bloggers who want to make money online. There are loads of potential visitors and readers 'out there' who are kept away from those blogs because they don't provide them with answers about the things they want to find about... I had some unexpected surprises lately with the results from a post about 'how to make an Easter Bunny Cake'. I don't believe that a post about 'how to make money with your blog' would have brought me the same amount of unique visitors and got listed in four 'top ten' Google search results pages in the process. The post was ignored by my peers in the Bloggers centered bookmarking sites, but I can live with that... The Google ads that were clicked on by those visitors hungry for information about Easter Bunny Cakes made up for it somehow. ;-) The worst thing that I have noticed is that some of the 'advices' given in some of those blogs are not always personally checked by the bloggers who post them... For example, in one of them Newsvine was listed among the social media sites that bloggers should use to get extra traffic to their blogs! Yikes! Double Yikes! Newsvine doesn't accept submissons from its users' own sites/blogs and repeated submissions of that kind ultimately lead to be barred from the site for Pete's sake! I wonder how many bloggers have found (or will eventually find) that out the hard way thanks (NOT!) to a fellow blogger they thought knew what he was talking about... Grrr!
