I actually started commenting a couple of weeks ago and I noticed the traffic it brings to our VoIP and Tech blog. Also I found excellent blog sites by checking the blogs of those I see who makes regular comments.

Forget about blog lists, commenting will get you traffic and will let you find very good blog sites at the same time.

Hi Jay,
I totally agree on the true benefits of commenting. But apart from the backlinks potential, it’s growing your blogging community and making new friends too. As it is blogging by itself is already pretty boring so this adds a different dimension to it. It makes IM not so impersonal after all.

Testing is one of the keys to good marketing. Maybe you should test male vs. female pictures. That would be interesting and good fodder for a post.
