Technorati is the blog search engine and yes, it does in fact bring in traffic. How? Well, that’s simple. All you have to do is add Technorati tags to each of your posts.
This is simpler for Wordpress users because they have an easy-to-install plug-in which automatically detects the main keywords within each post and adds it to the Technorati search engine.
For non-Wordpress users, you will have to add them manually, which is easy to do as well.
Below is the html code:
As you can see, it’s just a simple link code, though, what Technorati reads is the ‘rel=”tag”’ part of it.
These tags will show up in the search engine under “posts.”
Technorati also automatically inserts your “labels” to their “blog” search engine. For instance, if one of your labels is “Blogging Tips,” when you search for those keywords, your blog will show up in the “blog” section of the search engine. (See picture below – I think I did a bad job of explaining that one!)
So, I completely forgot this originally decided to test this out by adding Technorati tags to all my posts within the past week and a half. And although, there are more popular tags than others, I still managed to get 52 unique visitors from it.
I know that’s not a lot, but 52 is better than none. And I got those visitors from doing such a simple thing by adding tags to my posts.
So, if you want to increase your traffic (I mean, who doesn’t?) then I would suggest adding these easy and quick tags to your posts.
Quick note: You have to make sure you have an account with Technorati and make sure you ping them or they will not check your blog.

Dale,
I’m honestly not 100 percent sure what it’s called. But if you join bloggeries.com forum (which you can link on the banner from my site) there are plenty of Wordpress users that can help you with that!
