People Sick of Blogs about Blogging/Making Money Online?

people sick of money making blogsHow many of you guys are sick of seeing blogs about blogging or making money online? Well, not me (obviously). But there are tons of people who just grind their teeth at the fact of possibly stumbling upon one.

First of all, if you are one of those people who are sick of blogs about blogging, you are obviously at the wrong territory website. But how many blogs about blogging or making money online are there really?

I decided to check out Technorati and enter various keywords in the blog search pertaining to ‘money making’ and ‘blogging tips’ blogs, and here’s what I found:

Make money online – 9,470
Make money – 17,152
Blog tips – 5,146
Money – 33,604
Blogging – 14,903
Tips – 21,200

Of course, these numbers aren’t as accurate as I’d like but it gives you an example on how many potential ‘money making’ and ‘blog tips’ blogs there are potentially talking about the same type of topics.

Well, if you currently have one of these ‘money making’ or ‘blogging tips’ blogs, I’m sure it’s hard as hell to make money off it, but it’s probably even harder when it comes to sites like Digg and StumbleUpon.

The chances of getting your articles Dugg is probably hard enough as it is, unless you know how to work the system. But I can tell you for a fact that a majority of the Digg.com community hates those types of articles. I mean, the chances of a “making money online” article getting on the front page of Digg.com is probably slim to none. When’s the last time you seen one on there?

And we won’t even go into the StumbleUpon audience. A lot of them hate to “Stumble Upon” one of these articles, I should know, I got thumbs down and harsh remarks on how much they’re sick of reading crap like this.

We know that the Digg audience can be harsh critics (based on the many comments I have seen), my question is, “are you sick of blogs about making money online?”

Please note: I have been busier since I have lots of people interested in custom ad/banner designs. I’ll try to post as often as I did before, but I don’t want to force anything and put out forced articles, you know?

Also, I think I should have voted for Tyler Cruz in that contest (even though he didn’t win)… but I will get back to you on the reasoning.

Lastly, I was going to post the “Link Love” but it looks like there’s still people commenting, but I will VERY soon! Look out for that.

Yes, I am. Especially since I joined Entrecard. Whats funny is that these blogs who write about how to make money end up making more money than the blogs they are trying to help.

Personally I think all of this comes down to simple supply and demand economy. Why does one after another social networking pop up daily? Everyone wanting to be the next Myspace. What about contextual ads? Affiliate programs? There a dime a dozen but they’re not going anywhere. Usually the economic principles inherent in anything shine through loudest and clearest. When the market saturates and no longer is beneficial, it will dry up. Never fails!

I am sooo tired of them. And I bet a lot of them don’t make any actually money themselves. After all, the easiest way to get rich is to sell an easy way to get rich.

yes, Yes, YES! For a while that was unfortunately all I was reading, convinced I would find “the key”…

Contrary to what Raj said above, although there are quite a few of these sites to be found via Entrecard, I’ve found many great NON-make money online sites through Entrecard as well.

I think the real question is – Why would anyone stumble or digg a make money site in the first place. These sites are designed for search engine traffic and not social traffic. The people who do make money online don’t make it selling to stumblers and diggers so maybe everyone will be happier if these sites just stop being dugg. Stumblers have no use for me and I have no use for them. Problem solved.

I was going to stumble this one for you but someone already has.

It’s like multi-level marketing. Each of the big A-Lister has their ‘downline’ who’ll buy their crappola and try to do the same thing, only to fail.

The problem lies with the fact that many of these blogs are rehashing old ideas and venues that have already been done to death. If you are going to be successful, you need a fresh perspective, plenty of money to market with or some brilliant new ideas.

I’ve seen all too many Make Money Online blogs that don’t even look as though they have much effort put into them at all. As if they have nothing of importance to say but just expect people to drop by and click their adsense.

I for one am sick of seeing dead horses continuously beaten until they are dust in the wind…

Further, not only are these blogs giving out the same, tired, old advice we’ve all read elsewhere years ago, some of them are putting out really bad advice. Most of the bloggers doing these types of blogs do not have the experience necessary to dispense advice, anyway.

I’m currently hanging my head in shame as I am one of these people, sorry! I hope though that I’m not as bad as some, I freely admit how little I make and I don’t offer any advice, I only try to share my experiences as I go along. All I wanted to do with my blog is earn a bit of extra cash and hopefully share my findings with others.

    Cheers

There are way too many making money blog and some of these blogs are created just to make money without any idea / knowledge how to make money!

There is a lot of garbage out there in the MONEY MAKING arena, but that only means that the legitimate sites will do better.

For example, you have a good site, what I call a ‘Value added first’ site. You give something of good value in your information. People learn to trust this and thus you gain brand loyalty and more traffic.

The splogs, will fade and wither.

I also run a ‘value added first’ blog and give away a lot of good information that I see sold on other sites.

Because I ad value first, my readers are more likely to become customers for my other products.

Sales is just that, sales, but marketing involves building a relationship with your customers, getting them to link to you and bookmark you site or feed.

It’s not easy, but it does pay off.
