There’s a new site out there called Clipbook.us which is a ‘Social Bookmark Exchange’ program. I actually like how it’s set up because it attracts two different audiences: Those who want to get paid and those who want more traffic.

If you’re an active member in social bookmarking sites such as Digg.com, Technorati.com, StumbleUpon.com, Del.icio.us or Ma.gnolia.com, then this is probably the site for you. First of all, if you like Stumbling or Digging articles, then you can get paid for doing so.

Here’s how it works:

You sign up at Clipbook.us and right after the registration you have to enter in your username’s for each of the social bookmarking sites I previously mentioned. (Please note: Make sure you enter all of them correctly in the beginning because if you make changes in the future, you will have to spend ‘points’ for it.)

So, how do you make money? Well, you get ‘points’ for each Digg, Stumble, etc from the list of links. So, if you Digg, Stumble, etc on a regular, this should be no problem. The more ‘points’ you rack up, the more money you can make.

A couple of things: Currently, I believe its $0.02-$0.03 per point. But that’s not bad if you are a regular on social bookmarking sites. Also, there is a minimum of $5.00 USD for payout.

So, how do you get traffic? Well, the more ‘points’ you earn, the more ‘bookmarks’ you can get. In order for people to go to your specified StumbleUpon page, Digg, etc, you need to spend your points. For instance, if you wanted 10 people to Stumble a particular article, you will need to spend 10 ‘points.’

Don’t worry, to prove that they Stumbled it, they have to ALSO leave a comment. Same goes for Digg.

I tested out this and so far it looked like it worked, for traffic at least. I spent 5 ‘points’ to get 5 Stumbles and I saw a little extra traffic coming from Stumble users.

So, if you are a regular social bookmarking user, then why not get extra traffic or even make money? Feel free to try it out. I believe you get 10 points right when you sign up!

What up Jay. Well, I followed your link and signed up because it sounded too good to be true. Well, I’m sorry to say that my initial reaction is that is was. I mean, I love to Stumble and Digg as much as the next guy (maybe more) but have you seen the shit they want us to approve. I don’t know - I’m willing to give it a shot - hell, I even wrote a post about it on my own site but I’m already having the buyers remorse. Anyway, just needed to get that off my chest - still LOVE the blog and love you like a brother. Cheers!

    Hey Linc,

Yeah, it might not be for everyone. But you know how there’s tons of people who would just Digg and Stumble to return favors? It’s almost the same as that but you’re getting points to spend to have them do the same.

Or you can cash it in at the end of the day.

But I’m going to keep testing it out and see how it goes in a couple weeks.
