Adding “Alt” names to your images will come in handy for those looking to increase exposure to your blog/site, which leads to more traffic.

A lot of people who use pictures on their blogs regularly tend to forget to add an “alt” name to their images. This is very simply to do. Please see the image below:

The key is to keep the image names somewhat related to the general topic(s) of the site - assuming the picture relates to the story which relates to your overall theme.

A lot of search engines such as Google - Images, check the “Alt” name field for keywords for searching for pictures. Again, people tend to forget this simple step (and that includes myself).
