age is nothing but a number

When it comes to making money online, age has no restrictions on it. I know, like the late Aaliyah once said “age is nothing but a number” and luckily, we are not dating then it probably would be! But no matter how young you are or how old how wise, making money from blogging is for everyone!

I’m in my mid-20’s but I recently started blogging a few months ago (though, I helped manage another site for well over a year). I’ve learned a lot and I slowly, but surely, started making money. I mean, definitely not enough to quit my day job or anything… yet, but at least I’m making something.

But during my months of blogging, I must have run across thousands of blogs enough blogs to see that there are thousands who make enough money to do that as their day job.

In the beginning, I saw a lot of stay-at-home mothers who blog and make a pretty good living off that but more recent, I’ve been seeing a lot of younger bloggers making just as much. And when I say “younger” I mean in their early teens.

Matter of fact, the youngest blogger I seen (who actually revealed their age – because it’s part of their marketing scheme) was 14-years-old. If I’m not mistaken, this same individual was showing off thousands of dollars they made within the past month or two.

Freakin’ 14-years-old?! I think I was only making a few dollars pitching quarters at school when I was that age!

But this is the generation of technology, so this shouldn’t be unexpected.

And on the other hand, I have met a lot of older wiser bloggers that have years and years of experience and make plenty of money from blogging.

Basically what I’m getting at; if you want to make money from blogging, age is nothing but a number, though, you do need patience.

But hopefully not TOO much patience because if you started when you were in your teens and now you’re almost retired, I’m pretty sure blogging just wasn’t for you.

I am 14 years old, and I run my own blogs/websites. You can check out my personal blog at http://patrickdevivo.com

I think that you are right that age does not matter on the internet, content is content. However, one thing that annoys me is when other teenagers use their young age as a marketing tool. They brand their age all over their site, expecting people to be impressed that they are so young. This brings an air of arrogance to their website.

You’re right, kids are everyone online these days! I thought I was young at 20, but hell no! There’s people who are like 12 blogging.

Wish I had jumped on the net and thought about business when I was 12. LOL.
