Google is U.S.’s Top Ranked Search Engine (Sept. 2007)

According to comScore.com, out of the five major seach engines, Google ranked the highest in the month of September.

There have been 9.4 billion searches performed at the five major engines – Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Ask and Time Warner, which also includes AOL. Google maintained a 57 percent share over its competitors.

Here’s how the percentages looked:

Google – 57%
Yahoo – 23.7%
Microsoft – 10.3%
Ask – 4.7%
Time Warner – 4.5%

Google Search Engine Rank

An analysis of search activity, Google’s sites lead with 6.6 billion searches. Next on the list was Yahoo with 2.4 billion, followed by Microsoft with 999 million.
